If you don't want to spend money on Grove I suggest playing the GR land that deals you one damage when tapped for a G or a R mana. There aren't a lot of affinity decks so i think that it is safe to do because affinity is the fastest modern deck and if you take say 4 from the GR land and then you play Wurmcoil then you gained the life you lost so its like you don't really end up losing any life.
