Quietus Spike rounds up. If it's not in the rulings it's because the card itself is very clear about that situation.

I'm not a fan of Dark Confidant considering there's better ways to get card advantage in blue. I understand the use of Basilisk Collars, as you've included several cards that cost life. I do not understand the inclusion of Misty Rainforest or Scalding Tarn, as there seems to be no need for Forests or Mountains in this deck.
Thrummingbird could do wonderful things here, especially paired with Distortion Strike or something similar. Love Lighthouse Chronologist, might be worthwhile to try putting more of them in. Looks like a really fun system here.
I love this! I thought an interesting combo system could be built around Blood Artist, and this is a really cool way to do it. The only suggestion I would make is to consider working in a couple tutors to help ensure you can get everything you need.
I like it, I'm a big fan of artifact decks. Some cards you might want to consider: Steel Overseer, Master of Etherium, and Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas. Tezzeret in particular would fit in rather nicely he has some pretty sweet abilities for a deck like this. Take a look at my artifact if ya like: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=387324
Thanks for the suggestions. I don't own any Control Magic unfortunately, but I'll definitely be looking to pick some up since Mind Control is a staple for many of my decks. Your suggestion on mana is spot-on, as I found myself lacking blue in the early game last time I played this deck. Thanks again, good critique!
Yeah I see your point on the golem. Replaced it with a Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas. Etched Champion would be sweet, but unfortunately I don't own any. Decks I've posted are ones that I've built and played in casual play with my friends.
I opted for the Journal strictly for the life gain, as the Reliquary Towers alone are pretty reliable for achieving unlimited hand size. I usually find myself starting a bit slow and the Journal helps me catch back up after taking some hits early. In a multiplayer game earlier I managed to rack up 86 life courtesy of the Journal before my last opponent conceded. Control Magic and Treachery are both sweet alternatives to Mind Control, but unfortunately I don't own any. Control Magic is quite affordable though, I'm planning to pick up a few of them next chance I get. Thanks for commenting.
