Being a huge fan of blue, I was immediately interested as soon as I had seen Sphinx of Magosi. A 6/6 beatstick with flying for six is nothing to sneeze at, but it's activated ability makes it downright scary, especially when paired with Training Grounds and Lorescale Coatl. I'm looking for this deck to be somewhat more competitive than my usual fare, so I'd love to hear any suggestions you can make for the deck.

I see a couple problems with this deck. Any tournament deck built by a player who actually has a brain, will always have removal. A vampire deck will have feast of blood. A blue deck will have aether trade winds and then follow up with a counter. You know that thing. Another thing is the deck runs to much off of Lorescale Coatl. It needs more win conditions. Final answer. BTW, you just lost the game :D

Lol, I lose. I just started thinking about the removal problem after I posted the deck. It seems like one strategically placed Day of Judgment could totally unravel this. Perhaps I'll lay off on the Coatls and use more Cancels instead. A playset of Canopy Covers probably isn't enough to protect my creatures. More umbras, perhaps?
use jace the mind sculpture, think about the text on his zero ability.
