Maybe brimaz (if you have him).
i can get my hand on pretty much any card needed to the store near me so yeah ill give it a try i guess but i would rather not get into white a lot as getting blue/red devotion is hard to get for the gods hihi
Devotion for keranos is possible, thassa however, will almost never happen. If it wasn't for the fact that you can push a guy through a wall, I'd be tempted to take it out.
the way i was seeing Keranos was that with all the Scry i have i will pretty much alway do 3 each turn that i need to. The other thing i can see is to take out both of the gods and to put 3 banishing light instead. that might make the deck slower but will give me more way to deal with trouble...the other card im really not sure about is Hordeling Outburst. Does it have a place in the deck..?
Personally, I like the card. It's even better with howl of the horde. With how the deck looks you could take out the 2 in mb and swap them with banishing light. It does however work well with rabble.
true! how about swapping Keranos with Banishing light and keeping Hordeling ? would it be better?
You will have to play test that. -2 sb horde move keranos to sb +2 light.
a turn 5 Howl of the Horde combined with Lightning Strike or Magma Jet is a good way to go or with Hordeling Outburst allowing for a possible 9 goblins into play on turn 6 swinging with a huge Rabblemaster. I'd say cut the Sage of the Inward Eye for Howl of the Horde.
i will give it a try thanks. i find Inward Eye a little weak too in that deck but i didnt know what to put instead. i was thinking Chandra but... i dont like her hihi :P
Remember a good way to look at it is you don't need the life if your opponents dead. The reason burn does so well and why it will always be a competitive deck in most formats.
so true hihi i use to play control so i need to get rid of that mentality...
I think Howl of the Horde is very good and underestimated. If it ever goes off on turn 5 or 6 for raid it's pretty much always gonna end the game.
2 mantis rider, 1 howl, 1 stoke=18 damage for 5 mana.
Nice!! and i just saw the interaction between Thassa and Goblin rabblemaster...putting that little (huge) guy unblockable for 2 mana can be... fun :) i might even play-test 2 or 3 of her main board instead of Keranos to see what happens
So that's assuming you cast mantis rider turn 3 and 4. (dealing damage then as well.) So on turn 5 attack with both Mantis Riders then cast Howl tap both Riders to cast Stoke? This = OVERKILL but I'm one to always side with OVERKILL :) Just another way Howl works in here I guess. Could become a 4 of if you find it resolves on a high percentage.
I agree Thassa is way better then Keranos. you have the chance to be winning on turn 5 o 6 without him and that's when you would be getting to cast him anyway, just a bit to slow. He should be a 4cmc.
but Scry with Keranos seems good too i think i really need to give it a try to make up my mind... and i will need to find 2 more Thassa and they are expensive at my local store .. 12$ each
Order singles online. You'll get her for 8 or 9 max shipping is free on singles as well.
you would be playing thassa almost strictly for the scry andunblockable option since devotion would be very unlikely. keranos has a bit better chance of becoming a creature but not often.
i am actualy playing them more as Enchantment not creatures anyway
Which is the way you should play the god's, just thought it may affect your decision.
you made me think about that, at first i would have played them as creatures but its not likely to happen.
Once you peg down your main deck I think you need to work on your sideboard if planning on running this in a competitive atmosphere.
yep i totally agree.. I SUCK at sideboarding... hehe
Like running Tormod's Crypt against those who Delve, Banishing Light as a good removal/control card. Soldier of the Pantheon is great as well against the Abzan decks like mine in Standard now. http://www.mtgvault.com/maniacalmaniac/decks/1234-abzanknockingonthedoor/Check it out here. Something you would be matched up against. Always looking for opinions too.
Type your deck name...nice deck!! and i gave my oppinion :P
Hushwing would be a good sb card. Kinda like torpor orb.
I did some changes are they any good ?
