the jund deck is currently one of the most efficient decks in standard each card in the deck plays a specific purpose, most of which generate what is know as card advantage card advantage is as simple as it sounds, having more cards than your opponent this is why the decks revolve around cards like bloodbraid elf bituminous blast and blightning the first two have cascade, which effectively allows you to cast two spells for the cost of one, this means two things, a you are able to play at a faster pace and b you get to keep cards in hand for wen you need them blightning costs you 1 card while taking 2 from your opponent, this nets you +1 cards over your opponent all the while these cards are very powerful and can take your opponents down further examples of card advantage: broodmate dragon, seige gang commander, sprouting thrinax the deck plays out very quickly generating card advantage with each turn, then around turn 5 it puts the opponent in "top deck mode" - basically playing the game with no cards in hand and praying their top card is the right one, at this point jund still has all the right cards in hand to finish their opponent off they utilize many cards to stall early game as to generate all of this advantage, terminate, lightning boly, malestrom pulse etc this explains why jund is so dominant, each card may not be the best strongest card for the cost but it provides a system by which one can slowly gain card advantage over the opponent then use the advantage to steer the game in their favor, using all of the kill cards to carve out a path for their creatures hope this helped you to better understand jund =] (jund also can refer to the colors red black and green being played together)
