I would personally play [[Mind Over Matter]] in this deck too. It untaps Jace's Archivist, which will probably kill the table with a "deal damage per card drawn" effect.

[[Buried Alive]] I think is the closest you'll get.
Fair point. Running cards like [[Eidolon of Rhetoric]] and/or [[Rule of Law]] would be a good thing to do with [[Standstill]].
Since this for kitchen table multiplayer, as Puschkin said, [[Rhystic Study]] is fantastic. Along that similar line [[Mystic Remora]] and [[Standstill]] are huge annoyance's.I don't know how open you are to splashing colors, but [[Smothering Tithe]] is equally as annoying as [[Rhystic Study]], and it gives you more resources. You can pair cards like [[Smothering Tithe]] with cards like [[Stasis]] to really grind your opponents out.@Puschkin; the brackets don't work on cards with apostrophes in their name.
Any rare or mythic that says "Each Player" or "Each Opponent" is worth looking at these days thanks to EDH.
Same thing with lands like Field of the Dead. I picked up foils for 5 a piece when m20 first dropped.
Yeah. These days whenever I see something that says "Whenever a player does X thing" I pick a few up. I got a few smothering tithes super early thanks to that.
Yeah, cards like [[Rhystic Study]] were like, 4 dollars when Theros and Born of the Gods was released. Then EDH slowly gained popularity and now they're around 30-40 dollars depending on condition.
[[Mind Over Matter]] and [[Temple Bell]] was the old combo. I'm surprised to see a legendary creature variant.
What? Baral is one of the few creatures worth playing in storm. Most modern storm lists only run Baral and Electromancer. The cost reduction is far more valuable than you think. It makes every red ritual net 2 mana, it makes manamorphose net mana rather than be mana neutral. In short baral is ran because he is a second copy of electromancer with a slight upside. I do think this deck needs to run remand though.
[[Corrupt]] could be a decent finisher. Maybe drop 1 Ghoulcaller's Chant for 1 Corrupt?
Demand. Not every deck needs path to exile, but every deck needs lands. Not only that, but finely tuned mana bases require very specific lands, so those are the ones that are the most expensive.Although these days paper magic prices are determined by EDH more than any other format at the moment.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Agreed. A lot of toxicity going around lately.
I mean, the ban list never really updated either. I was on [[Ral, Storm Conduit]] with [[Expansion // Explosion]]. The deck just ran every 1 mana card that drew cards, every 2 mana copy spell and all the free counterspells. I assume that Ral would have been banned eventually.
First you break it in half.
If you don't mind my asking, how do you link cards in comments?
I'm surprised this deck isn't running Mind Over Matter.
I assume it's just a bunch of spaces.
Perilous Myr is pretty good in the Alesha decks. Unmarked Grave also puts some combo pieces in the bin, and Vizier of Remedies is another Anafenza as far as Murderous Redcap is concerned. I'm not sure what to cut for the cards. I think I would cut Gamble for Unmarked Grave and key to the city for Vizier. Also, not sure if it was a misclick but Commander only allows one copy of each card unless specifically stated otherwise, so you can only have 1 teferi's protection.
