Deck Description

Are you bored? Does Magic: The Gathering feel old and vapid? Got any useless bucks in your bank account? Ladies and Gentlemen, I have solution.
Use your bank account on nearest MTG marketplace website and buy some cheap cards, craft a deck, and challenge your friends! To double the fun, ask your friend to create such a deck too!
The Budget Decks -series is meant for your free time! These are meant to inspire you, and the deck's value is meant to be low! (Between 10 and 20 bucks.)

How to Play

Inspired and requested by Morty.

This deck's main point is to grab a guy with a pinging-ability (a creature with an ability to deal damage to creatures) and give it Deathtouch. You can basically kill one of your opponent's creatures every turn.

When your opponent has no creatures left, you can whack 'em out with cards like Rockslide Elemental or Master of Cruelties. Feast on the Fallen is another win con, since it makes one of your guys bigger if you remember to ping your opponent's face in addition of killing all of their creatures.

Deck discussion for Budget Decks: Ping! You R Dead

May I suggest Goblin Sharpshooter. Him with deathtouch seems pretty good, considering he'll more often than not be untapped. Just a pinging machine!

If I remember correctly, it only hits players.

No, it can target a player or a creature.

I'm probably thinking of fireslinger.

Nice deck. I might suggest Vulshok Sorcerer which is like Cunning Sparksmage but is a 1/1 and costs 2 red and 1 colorless instead of 2 colorless and 1 red.
BTW do you know any donkey cards that might go in this deck?

Blood Cultist, Deathbringer Thoctar, maybe a lone Vampiric Dragon?

Perhaps you could make a variation of this deck that uses Triumph of the Hordes and win via poison counters? Would be pretty interesting imo.

Sweet deck idea, buddy! I would hate to be on the other side of a deck that not only wipes my creatures, but is also budget!

Another fine and fun looking deck. You have become one of my main sources of ideas for decks!

Maybe a Fallen Ferromancer. Infects the creatures as well, but is kinda pricey in terms of mana cost.

Nice one! You did well. Thanks. :)

I especially like "Rockslide Elemental" in there. Good idea.

Two "Deathbringer Thoctar" would rock, though. It's totally insane with deathtouch and "Feast on the Fallen".
Another idea: More deathtouch equipments instead of the Auras. They're reusable after all (although that Aura's toughness bonus is pretty nice). "Basilisk Collar" would be great but obviously isn't really Budget. "Gorgon Flail" would be the next best thing.

Could you make a Budget Prossh EDH? Everybody could use more dragons!

You might want to consider Goblin Fireslinger as an option as a pinger. You also might consider putting in sadistic glee or eternal thirst, allows you to power-pump your creature(s) the more things you kill

Well pondered.

Pretty sweet!

Viridian Longbow is terrific for giving your deathtouch creatures pinging, and I also think the Infect/Wither potential is here. One card I'd definitely recommend, especially since this is a budget deck, is (DotTG) Dictate of the Twin Gods - a 25-cent 5 CMC (3+RR) rare enchantment with flash which each double the damage dealt to permanents or players. See http://shop.tcgplayer.com/magic/journey-into-nyx/dictate-of-the-twin-gods With all four out, your Goblin Sharpshooter would be pinging for 16 damage.

Also, a quad of Rogue's Passage nonbasic land would be extremely terrifying to your opponent(s). Pay 4, tap the land, target creature becomes unblockable. These are also about 25-cents each.

Lastly, for about 50-cents, Illusionist's Bracers is equipment that duplicates activated abilities, and allows you to choose new targets - in other words, with just a single Bracer, your Goblin Sharpshooter could ping your opponent for 32 damage, or two creatures for 16 damage, assuming you had four DotTG out. With infect, wither, or deathtouch, you can see how powerful the Illusionist's Bracers and/or the DotTG additions could be.

Thanks for giving me some great material to think about!

Cheers,
Robert~

Nice deck man. Weak to board wipes but there are no cheap mana drop board wipes so very well done indeed.
