Deck Description

Are you bored? Does Magic: The Gathering feel old and vapid? Got any useless bucks in your bank account? Ladies and Gentlemen, I have solution.
Use your bank account on nearest MtG marketplace website and buy some cheap cards, craft a deck, and challenge your friends! To double the fun, ask your friend to create such a deck too!
The Budget Decks -series is meant for your free time! These are meant to inspire you, and deck's value is meant to be low! (Between 10 and 20 bucks.)

How to Play

Inspired by Buwalda, the old rascal who managed to pull Keranos from booster. Lucky sonovaduck.
The end is near! Keranos shows his approval with every single bolt of lightning! BOOM!
This deck plays instant and sorcery spells. Lots and lots of them. As much as possible. Many creatures in this deck go great with them.

-Goblin Electromancer, Kiln Fiend and Sigiled Starfish are all awesome early game drops for this deck! Starfish prepares your grill, Fiend grills, and Electromancer makes grilling easier!
-Mercurial Chemister has OVERPOWERED abilities. Especially I like the upper one. It is like Divination all over again.

Deck discussion for Budget Decks: Keranos Approves

Maybe some cards to make your Kiln Fiend unblockable? Another possibility is using Nivix Cyclops in place of Kiln Fiend :)

Kiln Fiend is two-drop. Cyclops is 3-drop. That's the main reason I run Kiln Fiend in many decks.
Usually my technique with it is to burn/bounce all the possible blockers, and then go in for kill.

Still, Exodd makes a pretty valid point. You can benefit this deck while making kiln unblockable with aqueous form. Then swing him every turn for massive damage and a scry! I would drop 2 sigiled starfish (aqueous for the scry instead) and 1 goblin electromancer (most of your instants are 2 drops anyway, so multiples of him would be redundant on the field) to have 3 aqueous.

Hey, I made a nice midrange stompy deck that has won quite a few rounds already- wanted to see if you could convert to budget for a buddy of mine that wants to play with similar style! Standard preferably.

Also, would love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks Northy! Also, planning to order the Hydra deck you made for me today! It's now standard, so I will use my many headed beasts to crush my FNM!

Hmmm ... nice deck. Nivmagus elemental might work better than Wee Dragonauts.
