Deck Description

Are you bored? Does Magic: The Gathering feel old and vapid? Got any useless bucks in your bank account? Ladies and Gentlemen, I have solution.
Use your bank account on nearest MTG marketplace website and buy some cheap cards, craft a deck, and challenge your friends! To double the fun, ask your friend to create such a deck too!
The Budget Decks -series is meant for your free time! These are meant to inspire you, and the deck's value is meant to be low! (Between 10 and 20 bucks.)

How to Play

Inspired and requested Twinchicky.

Control the battlefield with this semi-low mana costed (and yet standard) control deck. While the deck is efficient partner in Two-Headed Giant, it can perform pretty good plays in 1v1 also due to a lot of removal and good early game beatsticks (Seeker of the Way and Spellheart Chimera).

Deck discussion for Budget Decks: Jeskai Control

Nice deck, but I feel that a token deck may easily overwhelm it though, even though I don't have any suggestions(because Anger of the gods would kill everything you have) , I'm just pointing it out

Also, red and white tokens are really popular so................

Sideboard AEtherspouts should do the trick.

Yeah it should, it would also work great against other midrange brutal decks.

Spouts is a bit slow, 5 mana wraths have almost always been to slow, that's why control died for Khans FTR, if anything, Supreme Verdict

Do you mean define control mate? By control I mean a deck that aims to dominate the late game with a small number of bombs whilst achieving survival in the early game with removal, I've written two articles on it, that are far more in depth on definition and the way to use control

somthing stupid that you do now evey body hates you north answer the quastian

0

It was not stupid. It was a simple classification error. I'm going on all of my experiences of both playing and watching magic, and from a lot of standard play for this set tells me that this is not control. Look at the quality control decks- Abzan and Esper- and look at the integrally differing strategies between those and this.

true but why do u jug girl r boy if they don't make a contral staple

0

It is not that it isn't a control staple, it is that its not under the classification of control, it is fundamentally a midrange strategy.

I am really trying to be civil to you, but I'm struggling between you insulting me and making no sense because of this strange text language you're using. This does not use the control deck strategy which fundamentally makes a deck control.

Can you please make what some people would classify as a 'Spike' deck, a deck you would be happy to (even though I know you don't) take to a tournament, I want to see if you can change gear to a powerful standard or modern deck?

I'm sorry to say, I don't think your deck would actually fit on a deck register sheet, I would really really aim to be playing a 60 card deck in your modern burn

0

I very much wouldn't suggest a 75 card deck for beginners, I love the WOTC strategy of giving I think 30-40 card starter decks, only a few cards which are simple to play, in standard and free

I'm not calling you a newbie, I was actually about to give you a list of one of the best variations of modern burn, being younger I know about budget, I feel your pain I was 13 3 years ago and struggled economically, so if you really want to kick your friend's butts, let me lend you a hand with a list and trust me, you'll enjoy the deck

I agree with gothy on this, this doesn't strike me as a contol deck for the simple fact it lacks the fundamentals of a control shell (draw-go or tap out) It's like a midrange-aggro with pre-post resolve spells. I like it but it doesn't have a identity though. The omenspeaker is a card I really like and could be a focal point with a decent engine to kick/mill cards out. Ideas for this is like

Jeskai Ascendancy(Turn 1>land>turn 2 omenspeaker, scry 2(do whatever)>turn 3 ascendancy>turn 4 spell----------------------> and the engine is started. Outpost siege or maybe for a engine of sorts.
