Deck Description

Are you bored? Does Magic: The Gathering feel old and vapid? Got any useless bucks in your bank account? Ladies and Gentlemen, I have solution.
Use your bank account on nearest MTG marketplace website and buy some cheap cards, craft a deck, and challenge your friends! To double the fun, ask your friend to create such a deck too!
The Budget Decks -series is meant for your free time! These are meant to inspire you, and deck's value is meant to be low! (Between 10 and 20 bucks.)

How to Play

Inspired by wolvesinthesnow1.
I'm not sure that is this what you were looking for, but damn I hope so!

The main point of this deck is to create combo with Brood Keeper and Crown of Flames/Flickering Ward. If you add Scourge of Valkas to the combo, you get a whole bunch of additional fun!

Outside that combo, this deck is just a basic aura deck.
Enjoy!

You could add Forgeborn Oreads to deal damage with your enchantments.

Hey if you want to know how to link to decks/cards check this out!

I hate to use the phrase, but 'Dies to removal', you're relying on an all eggs in one basket plan without hexproof, which is going to be tough.

Ye, the restriction of it being boros was a bit harsh... blue has some of the best protection auras in the game... so I think i would make this jeskai... and get a bit more flash in there

The phrases "casual" "budget" "just for fun" come to mind.

I remember when I used to play Magic for fun. Things were simpler then.

But Northy and Dortio senpai, if you play for fun then you get arrested by the Magic Police and sent to Git Gud jail! Don't say such bads, I can't stand seeing you guys go to jail for being right! Wait....uh-oh *sirens coming this way*

Whoop Whoop its the sound of the Police! Just because its 'casual' 'budget' and 'fun' don't give it rights to be poor

Its a deck centered around broodkeeper. Broodkeeper is never going to see play at a Grand Prix. What this deck is going to do is fill your mom's kitchen table with a bunch of little 2/2 fire breathing fliers.

Sure, it dies to removal and one infest will ruin your day, but you get to tap mana, bounce your cards, make an army, and most importantly have some fun with your friends with some cards you dont normally use.

Me and my roommate love this deck to tears. I'd take it to FNM. Hell, I'd play this deck as a normal deck, but I've gone more into a for fun player over the years.

I've seen people take 'fun' decks to FNM, they rather swiftly regret it after going 0-4 and having a terrible night

I saw a guy run a "lost in the woods" deck with 59 forests. He was miserable by the end of the night.

Ye I saw the same, you need to have someone else playing for fun with you, like I did a goblin test pilot deck that cloned test pilot and my friend who is now the manager of my LGS was playing baby, he progenitor mimicked my test pilot xD but that was a post game day friendly after I'd top 8ed with BR aggro

I take fun decks too FNM, get 0-4, but still have fun. How? I don't expect to sweep everyone at FNM with a fun deck. I go to play it for a good time. Now going to FNM with a deck I've worked on for a month that's made for competitive and go 0-4, that's a terrible night.

Dude I once went 0-5 drop at a WMCQ with boss sligh that id worked on for months and 4-0ed FNM 2 days before

Hmm, this is the first deck of you that I'm not really sure about.
You got many low power creatures that need buffing, so you'll have to spend the auras on them instead of Brood Keeper.
Well luckily you can return many of those back to your hand.
I'd say that this is a fast deck with all those low power Boros creatures and enchantments but for the Brood Keeper to work you'd have to wait at least 5 turns (4 for the mana for Brood Keeper, 1 to enchant her).

I would put some stronger guys in it for early game, but I'm not familiar with Boros.

Yo, just an idea, would it be possible to make a standard budget manifest/morph deck?

Would it be possible?

sagu mauler is a thing.... rattle-claw mystic is a thing, icefreather aven is a thing use those as a base... then you have Temer hunts maser who manifests two when you play him... secret plans for draw power.... intop of that just find a temer midrange shell to put it into and you have yourself a deck...and from there work back to take out the value cards with cheaper alternatives..... I could do this if you wanted but I'm not good at manabases or card amounts... so gothey is probably your best bet....northy could probably make something with sick combos though i think he already did a manifest deck?

I'll have a crack at it, I can give you a goal to aim at which will be a higher budget, the only thing that makes the price high is Whisperwood Elemental, apart from that, probably a Bant Shell, because you have access to soul summons and Master of Pearls which is a 2 mana body that pumps the whole team, and cracking them in the face for a tonne with all the 2/2s that are suddenly 4/4s!

Okay, so you can copy decks here? I didn't know.
I thought he/she just added the same cards as I...

Well, I guess he/she did it because he/she wants to keep those decks' information safe. Maybe he/she plans on building them in real life?
