Deck Description

Are you bored? Does Magic: The Gathering feel old and vapid? Got any useless bucks in your bank account? Ladies and Gentlemen, I have solution.
Use your bank account on nearest MTG marketplace website and buy some cheap cards, craft a deck, and challenge your friends! To double the fun, ask your friend to create such a deck too!
The Budget Decks -series is meant for your free time! These are meant to inspire you, and the deck's value is meant to be low!
(Between 10 and 20 bucks.)

This specific budget deck was inspired and requested by Daggerback5423.

How to Play

Feeling itchy already?

This deck attempts to take all out of the good old Takklemaggot. The card basically infects creatures until there's nothing left to be infected. After that it will infect one of the players, starting to deal damage to that player every single turn.

The trick here is that all of your creatures have protection from black, meaning that your opponent cannot target any of your creatures with Takklemaggot. Your opponent must keep infecting creatures of their own, until finally the maggot infects the player.

Deck discussion for Budget Decks: Deez Maggots Tho

Wow!

This came out so much better than I would think would! Sorry for not noticing earlier. I didnt think of having an protection from black deck would be useful in this. Thank you!

Im challenging my friend to a proxy battle thats Vintage legal up to 30$ budget. Can you help me with making my revisions? I took out the 6x Orders, and added 2+ Akroma (White), 3+ Soltari Monk, 1+ Darkest hour. ( http://www.mtgvault.com/daggerback5423/decks/maggot-deck/ )

1. Are these smart revisions?
2. HIs deck is a cheap Delver Of Secrets deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/daggerback5423/decks/delver-30/ ). Think I have a chance of beating him? If not, what type of things do you see me watching out for?
3. Thank you for your attention to my comments.

This seems like something that would be pretty funny. Might be niche deck to play, but certainly hilarious XD

Pretty much your opponent and you need to agree that you'll play pretty casual or weird homebrew decks. My friend and I are doing that. but, we're building our sideboards to each other's main decks. It'll be fun. I bet i'll lose badly. My decklist is above in a comment to Northy'

I just wanna say that takklemaggot was going to be in time spiral set as a spiraled card but the translations of it into different languages would go off of the text box.

Death Speakers as a silly ultra-budget option?

Thats actually a good idea for replacing the order of leitbur. It'll lower the cmc as well.

Protection from Black isn't the only thing that works, shroud does, too!
And there are cards similar to Takklemaggot that you could also make use of to make this more consistent, especially Death Match!

Here, I made this 3 years ago:

Awesome deck, as usual!

By the way, could you please bring back Budget Duel Decks? Those were so much fun!
Maybe a Innistrad inspired duel deck?

Anyways, keep up with the good decks, man! Cheers!
