Deck Description

Are you bored? Does Magic: The Gathering feel old and vapid? Got any useless bucks in your bank account? Ladies and Gentlemen, I have solution.
Use your bank account on nearest MtG marketplace website and buy some cheap cards, craft a deck, and challenge your friends! To double the fun, ask your friend to create such a deck too!
The Budget Decks -series is meant for your free time! These are meant to inspire you, and deck's value is meant to be low! (Between 10 and 20 bucks.)

How to Play

This is pretty weird deck. Lying on mainly defensive line, it waits until it is the right time to strike.

-Drain your opponent slowly with Suture Priest.
-You can swing them with Bloodgift Demon or Doubtless One.
-Skirsdag High Priest brings in flying fatties.
-Merciless Eviction is definitely an emergency card.

I also love clerics and have been playing with them since I started magic. I have been trying different combinations with them and currently I think I may have the strongest cleric deck I've ever seen in real life/online. Check it out: http://www.mtgvault.com/tgptialves/decks/cleric-cult/

I really love this deck, however bloodgift seems out of place to me, unless you are just using it as a flying fatty for some win condition? I would maybe suggest running deathpact angel instead.

Hey, but Bloodie lets you draw some additional cards, and lifeloss is not problem with this deck.

If you want to boost defenses even more, you could even go for Hedron-Field Purists or a Transcendent Master. As for flying support in Clerics, there isn't much-- Aven Redeemer or Glarecaster, maybe. I just want to get out Bloodgift Demon, flavorwise.

But thanks for introducing me to Edgewalker. Such a cool ability!

Edgewalker is such a boss.
I also thank you for your recommendations, but as I already said to urinduil, Bloodgift Demon holds it place in this deck.

i like it.
But Diabolic Tutor seems like it could be replaced i don't know for what though.
finally, it would be cool to see you make some sort of budget deck based around iso-seek or extraction if you run out of ideas.

It would be lovely if you could work in Dark Supplicants and Scion of Darkness. The Cathedral Sanctifiers could make room for the Supplicants.

Oh and Subversion would fit the theme somehow.

I don't like Ultimate Price, they are risky because there are so many multicoloured creatures out there these days. Might I suggest Afterlife instead? Would work thematically and would combo with the Surture Priests.

Oh and Starlit Sanctum seems like a sure shot.

Harvester of Souls for card draw? I mean, you have a big dude that draws you cards already, but I personally think the harvester is better for it, since it always gives you at least 1 card per turn or a safe swing (it attacks and kills a creature). Alternatively, board wipes will refill your hand instantly, so it's also good against more controly decks.

One Harvester would not be bad...
