Woah, an EDH DECK? It has been a while for sure.I merely decided to toy a bit with the new cards that have appeared within the past year or so and give this deck a shot. Perhaps it will entertain someone?I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills. So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.https://www.mtgvault.com/northernwarlord/budget/
So, I decided to wrap up an EDH deck. Yes, it has been quite a while since the last one. This one attempts to be a quite typical monoblue control, all the while trying to be as cheap as possible. Ah, a Budget Elder Dragon Highlander deck (a BEDH for short)! This deck drops in the big guns from all sides. Slinn Voda can be used both aggressively and defensively, either clearing up the enemy board or setting your own utility dudes up for another round of ETB-abilities. Several of this deck's creatures bear handy tricks up their sleeves, so plan around your commander carefully! This deck managed to fit in a couple of comboes as well! Those are:* Relearn + Call to Mind + Frantic Search + Swarm Intelligence = Infinite Card Draw / Discard* Ghostly Flicker + Archaeomancer/Scholar of the Ages/Mnemonic Wall + Peregrine Drake = Infinite manaStrong synergies:* Stormtide Leviathan + Leviation/Archetype of Imagination = Almost total combat lockdown for the other players.* Scourge of Fleets + Mercurial Pretender = Pay 9: Return most of the stuff your opponents control to their hand.* Flood of Tears + Archaeomancer/Scholar of the Ages/Mnemonic Wall = Repeated mass bounce, if necessary.

NOTE: Set by owner when deck was made.
Infinite combos in a NorthernWarlord budget deck? Holy shit.

Love the deck! Even with the budget it looks like it should be decently consistent and effective! Where be the ramp though sir? Or am I missing some if it.
Ramping is quite hard to pull off in mono blue (budget ramping, at least), but the assumption here is that you can hold on during the early game with some snappy card draw spells like Scour All Possibilities or Deliberate, and some small blockers like Wall of Runes. After that, it doesn't take too many turns until you can "wipe" everything with cards like Aetherize, Whelming Wave or Engulf the Shore, so you can prevent anyone from taking you out too early on in the game.I admit, that this deck's greatest weakness is its slow build-up. With the proper cards, you can durdle your way to the late game, but it might not be easy in more aggressive metas. I suggest you utilize the best part of multiplayer EDH format: politics! Negotiate, make deals and plot against others in order to reach the late game earlier. You can promise someone not to cleanse the board for a couple of turns if they attack some other player, etc. This might not be the best possible answer to your question, but I hope I helped!
There are lots of cheap low mana cost artifacts you could use, but if enough wipes early does it for you then rock on!
