So, this is going to be a tribal deck within a tribal deck! This is a Budget Elder Dragon Highlander deck (BEDH for short). It is meant for the Elder Dragon Highlander format, a.k.a. Commander. If you are not familiar with the format, I'll link it below for you.https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Commander_(format)So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.https://www.mtgvault.com/northernwarlord/budget/
Zombies and Knights, a pairing that could work!Even though Varina is this deck's commander, you also have a secret commander included, Haakon, Stromgald Scourge. Use the numerous draw and search effects included to dig for Haakon, then drop them into the yard (perhaps using Varina's ability), and get casting! Since this deck includes a handy handful of creatures that are both zombies and knights, you'll be able to utilize all your tribal synergies quite effectively! Just try to keep Haakon safe (or at the very least, don't let your opponents exile him)! This deck even includes INFINITE COMBOES. Consider the following: - Haakon, Stromgald Scourge - Rooftop Storm - One or more creatures that are both Zombies and Knights. - Nantuko Husk / Phyrexian Ghoul / Fallen IdealThis combo leads up to a HUGE creature on your behalf, as well as infinite triggers for creatures such as Corpse Knight and Diregraf Captain.
