What's a Timmy's favorite type of soup?A keyword soup, of course! This is a Budget Elder Dragon Highlander deck (BEDH). It is meant for the Elder Dragon Highlander format, a.k.a. Commander. If you are not familiar with the format, I'll link it below for you.https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Commander_(format)I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills. So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.https://www.mtgvault.com/northernwarlord/budget/
For some reason MTG Vault won't show Rayami's price trend. Rayami's price was between 0.03-0.62 dollars on the American market at the time of making this deck.( https://www.tcgplayer.com/product/196449?page=1&Language=English )Rayami is a bit of an oddball: a keyword-soup commander in Sultai colors! Despite this oddness, he can be made into an entertaining EDH-deck, even if it wasn't very good. Just slap him into play, keep him alive and hope for the best! This deck runs a ton of handy creatures, each of which benefitting Rayami one way or another. Remember that Rayami screws up enemy creatures as well, preventing death-triggers and stealing their abilities! Use these alongside with boardwipes, sacrifice-effects and safekeeping cards to keep Rayami rollin' and creatures dyin'.Winning the game might not be easy with Rayami, since he won't get much buffs from his keywords. Use cards like Primal Empathy, Evolutionary Escalation, Fireshrieker or hell, even Cave of Temptation to speed up your beatdown. Remember that you can always use your other creatures as well, should it be needed! This deck likely works the best when played in 1v1-scenarios, so I recommend you keep that in mind. In multiplayer formats you are unlikely to be able to kill everyone with commander damage, not to mention the hate you get for screwing everyone's death triggers.Statistics, pros and cons. Consider reading these, especially if you are a newbie!Statistics: (out of 5)- Deck Speed: <><><> (How quick the deck is?)- Creature Focus: <><><><><> (How much this deck relies on creatures?)- Creature Size: <><><> (How big are the main creatures of this deck?)- Card Synergy: <><> (Do the cards of the deck help out each other well?)- Card Value: <><> (How much card advantage can you get out of your cards?)- Level of Complexity: <><> (How hard this deck is to properly play?)Pros:+ Keyword soup. What could be more fun to play?+ Can potentially build up a true powerhouse commander.+ Half-accidentally screws up enemy graveyard-based deck-techs.Cons:- You'll likely be the bad guy of the table.- Winning may not be easy, despite all the effects on Rayami.- Winning gets even harder if Rayami is removed repeatedly: keep him alive!
