Is it better to preserve counters on your creatures, or cast more cards? Let's find out! This is a Budget Elder Dragon Highlander deck (BEDH for short). It is meant for the Elder Dragon Highlander format, a.k.a. Commander. If you are not familiar with the format, I'll link it below for you.https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Commander_(format)I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills. So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.https://www.mtgvault.com/northernwarlord/budget/
Falco Spara lets you transform your counters into additional available spells. Use his ability to cast some bonus spells, then use other cards to manipulate your library as well as provide some additional counters. Remember that even land-searching can become a tool of manipulating your deck: stuck with a land card on top? Shuffle and take another look!Once you've got yourself a nice control game going, try to gather some counters on creatures you control with double strike in order to slap some serious damage! Keep your creatures alive with a wide variety of instant-speed effects!Statistics, pros and cons. Consider reading these, especially if you are a newbie!Statistics: (out of 5)- Deck Speed: <><><> (How quick the deck is?)- Creature Focus: <><><><><> (How much this deck relies on creatures?)- Creature Size: <><><> (How big are the main creatures of this deck?)- Card Synergy: <><> (Do the cards of the deck help out each other well?)- Card Value: <><><><><> (How much card advantage can you get out of your cards?)- Level of Complexity: <><><><> (How hard this deck is to properly play?)Pros:+ Provided you can keep a card or two on board and your library properly manipulated, you can dish out cards after cards after cards. So much advantage!+ Can strike surprisingly hard surprisingly early despite having ways to control the late-game as well. Ah, the versatility!+ A lot of ways to manipulate your library means you are more likely to get the cards you need!+ Numerous instant speed tricks to keep your creatures safe.Cons:- Requires quite lot of setup to run smoothly: Falco Spara (or Future Sight), combined with counter generation and ways to manipulate the library.- Synergy suffers greatly the moment you fail to keep up your setup.

What about some proliferate cards? Contagion Clasp, [[Karn's Bastion]], Planewide Celebration, [[Tezzeret's Gambit]], Evolution Sage, Grateful Apparition, Thrummingbird, or something like Pledge of Unity/ Unbreakable FormationI guess that Contagion Engine and Inexorable Tide will be out of budget.
Pledge of Unity was already in. I guess I could fit in an Unbreakable Formation...
