The Council of Four sure is an interesting commander. How do you play it though in budget? Let us see together! This is a Budget Elder Dragon Highlander deck (BEDH for short). It is meant for the Elder Dragon Highlander format, a.k.a. Commander. If you are not familiar with the format, I'll link it below for you.https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Commander_(format)I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills. So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.https://www.mtgvault.com/northernwarlord/budget/
Cards, cards, cards... tokens, tokens, tokens...So much card value, so little time. What to do?This deck loves to take its time to savor every card they pull up. Should you save them up for later or launch powerful onslaughts to bring down your enemies? Luckily this deck allows you to take many different routes towards victory, whatever the game requires at the current moment. As soon as the Council is on the field, you should focus on keeping them around. Luckily this deck is filled to the brim with numerous counterspells and instant cards that allow you to save your dudes whenever needed. Numerous card-draw effects also make sure you won't run out of fuel anytime soon! When the game has gone on for long enough, you can start focusing on ending it. The main tricks this deck has up their sleeve are tied to creatures, but luckily there are options to choose from: you can either create a ton of tokens using the Council, then buff them up with Leonin Lightscribe, Soulblade Djinn or Dictate of Heliod. Alternatively, you can attempt creating a single huge creature (Body of Knowledge or Sturmgeist, for example), then buffing them up further using cards like Empyrial Armor or Hand of Vecna!Statistics: (out of 5)- Deck Speed: <> (How quick the deck is?)- Creature Focus: <><><><><> (How much this deck relies on creatures?)- Creature Size: <><><><> (How big are the main creatures of this deck?)- Card Synergy: <><> (Do the cards of the deck help out each other well?)- Card Value: <><><><><> (How much card advantage can you get out of your cards?)- Level of Complexity: <><><><> (How hard this deck is to properly play?)Pros:+ You won't get much more card advantage than this!+ A lot of ways to control and disrupt enemy actions.Cons:- Very slow to play.- You'll need to be one step forward your enemies throughout the game. So, you better save up some mana for those instant spells!

I've heard this Commander is trash, but I'm digging this list. Nicely done.

I personally like these fellas, and I'm glad you like the deck. The problem with them mostly is that they cost 5 mana and are a pretty big target for enemy removal imo, constantly spewing out value to you with little to no effort. I tried to overcome with by including quite a many responses to save the dudes, but you never know.
