I've been on a control-deckbuilding streak of sorts, so why not make it even weirder with a GRUUL control deck? This is a Budget Deck (BD for short). It is meant primarily for casual play, and its estimated mid value is aimed to land between 10 and 20 US dollars at most. Take this detail into consideration when browsing the deck!I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills. So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.https://www.mtgvault.com/northernwarlord/budget/
So, Gruul control for today. Yay!This deck might require the usage of some brain regions no ordinary Gruul player would ever use, but it's going to be quite pleasant variation for a change. Either drop a Scaled Herbalist or a Goblin Anarchomancer (or perhaps even a couple of squirrels with Verdant Command), then hold the line until you can move into bigger spells.Ramp up some mana, draw some cards, then try to cause as much havoc as possible via casting powerful spells such as Clan Defiance and Fall of the Titans. Pelakka Wurm can also tenderize foes with lesser defenses, not to forget Wort which can duplicate any and all instants and sorceries you come across with little effort. When the game starts to look rough, pull a winning card back from the brink using Dryad's Revival, or wipe the slate clean by casting a big Savage Twister.Use the sideboard whenever you feel like your spellslingin' just ain't enough. Also, feel free to drop by the comment section to leave any and all feedback and ideas you can come up with!Statistics: (out of 5)- Deck Speed: <> (How quick the deck is?)- Creature Focus: <><> (How much this deck relies on creatures?)- Creature Size: <><><> (How big are the main creatures of this deck?)- Card Synergy: <><> (Do the cards of the deck help out each other well?)- Card Value: <><><> (How much card advantage can you get out of your cards?)- Level of Complexity: <><> (How hard this deck is to properly play?)Pros:+ Will be able to sling huge amounts of damage if left alone for too long.+ Rather resistant against aggro, despite being slow.Cons:- Winning is dependant on a few key cards: You better dig 'em up!
