Deck Description

Have you got a friend who is not a stranger to card/board games and would like to get into MTG? Well, this deck aims to provide you a mono blue deck that is suitable for newbie players who are not afraid to read some longer pieces of text! In exchange you'll get a deck that should perform well in most casual environments!

This is a Budget Deck (BD for short). It is meant primarily for casual play, and its estimated mid value is aimed to land between 10 and 20 US dollars at most. Take this detail into consideration when browsing the deck!

I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills.

So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.

How to Play

Mono blue graveyard sweetness? Not too bad.
This section will help YOU to play this deck, so consider checking it out especially if you are a newbie in the game of MTG!

This mono blue deck attempts to teach newer players how to take advantage of cards both in your hand and in your graveyard! When played proper, this deck may allow you to play as if your grave was a second hand of cards!

The early game consists of setting up your game for later turns. Cards like Merfolk Looter and Nightveil Sprite are perfect for skimming through some cards and sifting some into your graveyard, others into your hand. Once you get a couple of goodies in both, you can start lashing out your strategy!

The main key to victory in this deck is by beatdown. Attack ruthlessly with creatures such as Cryptic Serpent, Oneirophage, Pteramander and the tokens provided by Ominous Roost while supporting them by spamming Mana Leak and Unsubstantiate. If your gas runs low, refill your hand using Oona's Grace and Deep Analysis, then keep on going!

If specific opponents cause you trouble or just feel like customizing, consider taking a gander at the sideboard. It can offer you clever ways of outsmarting peskier opponents!
