I've always loved the idea of clone-type creatures in Magic. There's always been the subtle implication that they can create quite a fuzz in the game if played in the right moment, when othertimes they just fall short and be weaker variants of already existing creatures. This deck attempts to create an environment where these clones are at least interesting, if not powerful. I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills. So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.https://www.mtgvault.com/northernwarlord/budget/
When you are playing this deck, the plays of your opponents greatly affect yours, which is why you should take it slow and steady. Let your opponent initiate their plans, then try to intrude them using bounce-effects and clones. You might be able to completely "steal" your opponent's strategy by one or two carefully placed clones, but otherwise you can just slow them down while looking for ways to seal up the game.Winning the game can be a bit tricky, which is why you need to keep your eyes open for all the possibilities. Cloning enough Biovisionaries is always an option, yet it is quite much "on the nose", so you'll enemies will likely see it coming and try to stop you. Other options always include copying merely the biggest boy on the field, then attempting to cave in your opponent's face while holding their blockers down with bounces (or perhaps even utilizing Rogue's Passage). When all else fails, you can try to kick your opponent's ass by repeatedly whacking them with a Maraleaf Pixie, or even a BIG Altered Ego, dressed as a Maraleaf Pixie. If you feel like you are missing something, consider skimming through the sideboard first. Acidic Slime can deal with troublesome cards on the field, especially when cloned several times. Pelakka Wurm provides you lifegain, while its massive bulk can wear down opposing defenses. Aetherize is perfect against aggressive matchups, and Cackling Counterpart can offer you instant-speed copies of your own creatures.
