i know... it's funny :D it's as if this whole entire game is completely customizable to suit the play style of each person.. i know.. totally whacky notion :D 35-37 lands is good also. for me i like 34 - 36. i have 1 deck that runs 40.. been thinking of taking it down to 37 but idk, maybe.. we'll see.

Thank you for the reply :) in all honesty the 34 lands hasn't been an issue, i won't lie i would personally put way better mana ramp in here if i was making this deck without the restraints i put on myself with only using the cards from both pre cons only (heck i'd be using way different cards all together like suture priest and soul warden just to to name a few lmao) and i would especially be using different lands instead of so many ETB tapped, but i wanted to challenge myself with the limitation of what the 2 pre cons had and mesh them together. a lot of my own personal decks run an average of 34 - 36 lands and they work fine. the mana rocks, mana ramp, and 1 mana dork help out and make it a little faster but not by much.. plus i had to keep some stuff in here while also trying to streamline what WOTC did to these decks.. lmao they were so all over the place when they released them.. this one still is to a degree but no where near as bad lol. being a huge sliver fan / sliver player myself, i like the deck. have you thought about maybe reducing the duplication of the slivers on some from 4 down to 2 each and adding in some other slives such as : Brood Sliver (makes more slivers) , Harmonic Sliver (slivers etb and disenchant things), Megantic Sliver (slivers get beefy) , Quick Sliver (slivers have flash) , Root Sliver( slivers can't be countered) , Sentinel Sliver (slivers have vigilance) , Shifting Sliver (slivers cna't be blocked accept by other slivers) , Syphon Sliver (slivers have lifelink) , Thorncaster Sliver (each sliver pings for one as they attach before combat damage is even assigned), or Toxin Sliver (slivers have the effect of deathtouch) ?

swapping out :

Blur Sliver for Heart Sliver : pro = it's one less to cast , con = it is all slivers not just yours

Battering Sliver for Horned Sliver : pro = 2 less to cast , con= it is all slivers not just yours

i can understand wanting to keep the creature count down and having 4 of all of those in help to better guarantee you will draw them, at the same time it's slivers so the more the merrier lmao. Again i do like the deck and i am not tryign to tell you how to make or play your deck because, it's your deck :) i was just curious . thank you for posting your deck, happy gaming :)

Archangel of Thune : i would LOVE to have in here but sadly i can't afford the price tag :( the cards i have in here i've collected over the years and was lucky to get them when they were first released or from pre made commander decks

Tutor : i agree on ( i just need to figure out what to take out to replace them with)


Cliffhaven Vampire : i had in and i like it i took him out in replace of war report since i didn't know what else to take out

Drogskol Reaver i have in there ( for the exact reason you mentioned... great minds think alike lol )

gain life, and win....so far i keep gaining life, using Aetherflux Reservoir to take out players, Exquisite Blood with Sanguine Bond ( Vizkopa Guildmage, Agent of Masks ,Defiant Bloodlord) Kambal Consul of Allocation , Sorin Markov make opponents loose more life
life gain + Felidar Sovereign/ test of endurance instant win
use your life gain so Karlov of the Ghost Council can get rid of pesky creatures

extort plus Pontiff of Blight to give all your creatures extort to hit your opponents while gaining life
Wall of Reverence + Serra Avatar + life gaining = big creature

life gain + Cradle of Vitality = bigger creatures
life gain + Angelic Accord = more creatures

Debt to the Deathless + True Conviction + Daxos of Meletis + Drogskol Reaver = fun fun fun

Mirage Mirror = multi purpose tool

and use creatures to attack along with lifelink

I have loved Sliver decks ever since i first started playing magic :D i like your deck and if i am over stepping with my suggestions i apologize. With that being said, i understand where you're going with all special lands and no basic lands, have you considered swapping some out for the planshift Lair Lands ? the work really well and don't ETB tapped ( tap a land for mana, play lair land, bounce used tapped land, tap lair land for mana and play the thing you're wanting to play).

since you have 2 slivers that have double strike i'd loose the fury sliver since it costs 2 colorless more than Bonescythe Sliver
add in both muscle sliver and sinew sliver to aid with your Megantic Sliver ( slivers getting beefier are never a bad thing and both the muscle and sinew are cheap to buy)

Warstorm Surge is fun especially with sliver token producers lol

i use to have both Crystalline Sliver and Crypt Sliver in mine as well, but Crystalline Sliver cancels out Crypt Slivers ability ( which is why i put in Pulmonic Sliver because even with a board wipe you get all your slivers back ,but it is around $3 , but i am not sure what kind of budget you have for deck construction to that may or may not be expensive )

other than that i really like your deck ( and again i apologize if i sound pompous or crossed a line with my opinions, i know full well that there are cards i need to add to mine to touch it up and make it meaner / faster, i just love sliver decks and love making them faster so people have less time to gang up and hate on sliver players) feel free to check mine out if you have any suggestions i am all ears and they are greatly appreciated :)

Thank you :) It's all about having fun :) A few ideas for land that may or may not be helpful, but i have found that works well in my sliver deck are the Lair Lands from the planeshift expansion. Crosis's Catacombs ,
Darigaaz's Caldera , Dromar's Cavern, Rith's Grove, Treva's Ruins ( not sure if I am posting these correctly) These lands are effective , and they are not expensive to purchase at all . plus so far i find that they work great in any 3 or 5 color decks: since they don't come into play tapped; you can tap a land for mana, play one of the lair lands , bounce the tapped land, then tap the lair land for mana.. presto no draw back ( aside from bouning a non lair laind back to your hand upon putting it onto the field) hope this helps some :)

Everyone's definition of a budget is different, mine is anything $1.00 or less .As far as the sliver overload ..any of the slivers you go to use as a commander is going to be expensive , but out of the 3 choices he is by far the cheapest. Sliver Queen is priced at $ 27.99 in Damaged condition.. Sliver Legion $ 27.55 Moderate condition. Plus all the rest of the cards in the deck are under a dollar.

Sliver always have and always will be my favorite tribal deck to make / play. i like how you got it down to an affordable price range as well. My sliver deck has a few vacations, BUT it took me a LONG time to get the cards that are in there ( being poor blows LOL ) but mine still has a long way to go to be a real major threat also..but i really love a lot of the ideas you have in here and i can't wait to see more affordable EDH ideas from you. Please keep doing what you're doing :)

so far it looks pretty fun.. there's a lot of different cards you can add depending on if you want it to be standard, casual, etc for example : capsize, Dauthi Embrace , Æther Figment, Blighted Agent, Blockade Runner, Bouncing Beebles,Bubbling Beebles, cloak of mists, Dimir Infiltrator , Ghastlord of Fugue, Hada Spy Patrol, Higure, the Still Wind, Metathran Elite, Metathran Soldier ,
Minamo Sightbender , Phantom Warrior, Soulsworn Spirit ,teleport , Vectis Agents, Veil of Secrecy , Neurok Invisimancer , Inkfathom Infiltrator... etc etc

depending on what you are wanting the deck to do, there are a lot of good cards to be found. these are some of the cars i use in EDH decks of mine.. one idea is use the Utopia tree,Darksteel Ingot, and Birds of Paradise instead of the keyrunes to give you the extra mana, Elvish Piper lets you get big creatures on the field for 1 mana cost, i put in a variety of cards ideas here cause i wasn't sure if you were going for a populate theme, a big creature in your face type or a combo of... but with the cards you ahve and this list you should be able to have a lot of fun tinkering and to tweek your deck to where you are happy with it ... hope this helps some:
