So, me and my friend were talking this morning, and we realized a terrifying combo with Liquimetal Coating and Splinter. Targeting basic lands, once one is made into an Artifact. Improving upon the idea, I focused on increasing the speed at which one can do that, building a land destruction deck. Which, rewards you for sacking lands, because you can play them from your graveyard, getting life each time you play a land.Shenanigans are fun.
Basically, this deck targets denying your opponent's access to mana, while also providing you with the ability to live. Play Fastbond early on, so you can reap the rewards of a massive mana advantage, and, if you need to, keep your Eternity Vessels until you have a good health advantage, that way, if things go south, just send a land to the grave with an Army Ants, and play it from your grave with Crucible of Worlds. Of course, if they tend to run just basic lands... well, it's over, once you activate Liquimetal Coating and Splinter.Don't forget to make good use of the Constant Mists' buyback ability, as it's more difficult to kill you with an effective Fog every turn.
