Red with a splash of white. There's a few different things going on here... Bloodthirst, 'Manaburn', straight Burn, and Combat Damage. The main concept I started the deck with was the 'Manaburn' and Bloodthirst portions. The 'Manaburn' part came to mind when I went to the M12 pre-release and saw Manabarbs in the set. It immediately made me think of Obsidian Fireheart and how nice of a combo that would be (to me). Conveniently, they printed Personal Sanctuary in the same set - so I can use Manabarbs without hurting myself. The concept of my opponents lands slowly killing them makes me squeal in glee. There's a lot of Bloodthirst in M12, and I quite like that too. Blood Ogres can be 3/3 with first strike for cheap - can't beat it. The Minotaurs come in a bit beefier (pun intended), and the Goblin Fireslingers and the Burn spells are there to fuel their Bloodthirst. Let's not forget Mr. Crimson Mage to throw them some haste as well. The Fireslingers can also boost the Spitfires which is nice, and also why I went with the Spitfires over the Phoenixes. Anyway... I'd love to hear some feedback/comments/suggestions on this build. I wasn't quite sure what deck type to list it under, so it's listed as Combo-Based at the moment. Thanks!

add some removal (oblivion ring, journey to nowhere, celestial purge) and possible some life gain to balance it out.
Hi! I'm commenting on the decks posted on the "Advertise!" page. ( http://tinyurl.com/3blvgy6 ) Return the favor by commenting on any of my decks and/or the other advertised decks. Personal Sanctuary doesn't protect you from Manabarbs if you need to burn a creature on your opponent's turn. Hedron Field Purists are more thorough and protect creatures as well, but might be too expensive to bother with. Your call. I'd be careful with nickbooth's suggestion to add white removal, since the red removal you already have works better with bloodthirst. Depending on your metagame you might want to add a way to deal with noncreature threats, at least in your sideboard. An alternate route would be to remove the white splash altogether - 6 cards just might not be worth it. You could still keep manabarbs and just rush to the finish line. =D Quest for Pure Flame and maybe Valakut could help you there.
