This is my final edit of the Vamp deck I posted earlier today. It is constructed (both main and side boards) based on comments from you guys. If you have any other input or comments I would appreciate it. Thanks!
This deck has been viewed 1,304 times.
Note: There is only 1 Bloodghast in there because that is all I own. Blades are there to beef up vamps - throw Blades on a vamp, sac another creature to Aristocrate so he gets +2/+2 for turn and the Vamp with the Blades gets permanent +2/+2. Side board tries to account for other aggro decks (Marsh Casualties, Feast of Blood, Deathmark, Tendrils), Control Decks (Mind Sludge, Mind Rot, Duress) or just an all-out last resort to do direct damage to opponent (Consume Spirit).

lose the nightmares and add vampire nocturnos, lose the blood tribute and diabolic tutors for dissfigures. those are my only suggestions. you might also want to reconcider sorin seeing as he takes a while to actually get into play
I dont know how I ended up double posting with someone posting BETWEEN my posts... thats just weird... Anyway... I don't own Nocturnus, and I have seen him become useless too often to want to use him myself. Diabolic Tutors help me get Sorin out when I have the lands. But I do see what you are saying. If I need to I can trade the Tutors for the Marsh Casualties. That's why they are there. So I think I am fairly set as far as that goes. Thanks for the input!
Here is how I can help. Since this appears to be the deck you have. 1= Get rid of three or two of Malakir Bloodwitch. You really don't need that much. Also get rid of vampire lacerator since they kinda are cheap. Your better off having one nightmare instead. 2= Crypt of whatever from zendikar is a yes. 3= Kalitas, bloodchief of ghet is so needed. This card is great for a vampire deck Here are some cards that might wanna check out for a awesome vampire deck. Sengir Vampire Sengir Nosferatu Mirri, the cursed (this card is great in my opinion) Skeletal vampire is not a bad choice Obelisk of alara due to -2,-2 ability. Kalitas, bloodchief of ghet (Perfect card for vamp deck) Vampire Nocturnus is a bigger must. This card will power up vamps as long as top card is black Blood seeker= I would substitute aristocrat for this Really if you can get your hands on these cards, Great! ChannelFireball.com or Cardkingdom.com have some cards at low prices. Good luck.
nice realy cool
okay, you don't need guul draz, and you don't need nightmares. what you need are hexmages and royal assasins. true, the assasins don't fit the vampire theme, but they're better than nightmare. also, if you can find something to replace the aristocrats, that would be nice. also, you should always at all times be playing a full set of tendrils in your main deck. there is no reason not to. Black knight, although not vampire, is very good in any mono black deck. Hideous end should be n the sideboard. i know a lot of people are gonna say that's stupid, but you don't play color specific kill spells in your main deck. you just don't. on that note, you should put deathmarks in your sideboard. Also, take out something for vampire's bite, and if you can get your hands on more bloodghasts or even some noctournuses that would be good.
macandcheese.... cards you listed (like Sengir Vampire) are great (and I have 4 of them) but they are not Standard and thus I can't use them in a FNM deck. Also, Malakir Bloodwitches are a staple of any Vamp deck, so I have to disagree with you on that. Sorry. ipftw100 - I know I don't need guul draz, I would MUCH rather have Hexmages, but I have none, so I am kind of stuck with that. I am confused how you could say to put 4 removal cards (Tendrils) in main but then insist other removals (Hideous End) are side board. I have a side board with more tendrils and other cards that can be used to adapt to my opponent. I WISH I had more Bloodghasts, like you said. Hexmages and Bloodghasts are on my wish list and I haven't been able to find ANY at the stores around me recently. I agree that Vamp's Bite would be good, and I might sideboard that. Thanks guys.
The reason he says it is because you (generally) don't know what colors your opponent will be playing in a tournament. Therefore you put in a bunch of generalized removal spells and switch between games depending on the color. Anyway, disfigure is really cool if you have any, and I would have feast of blood in the main deck, not the side. If you can get some of the new vamp -x/-x spell (I can't remember its name) then you could turn it into a fun and fast aggro/removal deck with blade of the bloodchief and vampire nocturnus. I know you don't like him but it can really turn the game around with the flying bit.
