Counter/Direct Damage - T2 (pl..

by NightmareVampire on 16 January 2010

Main Deck (60 cards)

Enchantments (1)

Land (20)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

I haven't actually tried this deck. The tactics are pretty obvious. Counters from blue keep your opponent from playing anything too significant, direct damage from red gets you the win.

Has anyone tried this before? Any thoughts or insights for it? Anything to be added to the sideboard?

Just ignore the trolls :). Yea, people do U/R a bit often, but that doesn't mean it's no good. One thing I would do is find a spot for Swerve. It's an extremely entertaining card :). You can probably get rid of Cancel and add in Double Negative as well.

If you want to go more conventional, try Grixis control (U/R/B). At my local card shop a Grixis control deck gets first place quite often (it totally destroyed my U/W deck).

mrgoodbytes, thank you, that was actually helpful, as apposed to the troll above.

I will def look into Double Negative and Swerve. Based on the decks I play against most often, Double Negative might fit in better than Swerve. I also do like the Grixis idea.

I appreciate the input.
