Deck Description

With the upcoming Theros block, I wanted to start making an enchantment deck to build onto. At first I tried W/U, but the only cards I really had was Detention Sphere, Sphinx's Revelation, and Supreme Verdict. So I noticed Dying Wish and thought black could be a great combination. Then decided to switch blue with red for Hellhole Flailer and so I could sideboard Burning Earth. All criticism is welcome, thanks for the help!

How to Play

I try to stall until I can get a Hellhole Flailer beefy through Ethereal Armor and a ton of Enchantments. Then, you can swing with unblockable with Hellhole, sacrifice and deal a total of three times his power. This is of course in a perfect situation. Pacifism, Contaminated Ground, Blind Obedience, and Thrill-Kill Assassin help stall until you can get a Sphere of Safety up. I like to give Indestructibility to the Sphere of Safety, for just a little extra safety! Gideon helps give this deck an extra win condition because he can sit in a Sphere of Safety and get strong as his opponents have to pay a ton of mana to even swing at him.

Deck discussion for B/R/W Enchantment Control Deck

Unless you like that it costs 2 which is understandable, a good replacement for pacifism is arrest, it only cost one more but is much much more effective. Dying wish seems out of place here, you wont be utilizing it as you could.

I added Dying Wish to go along with Hellhole Flailer, once he is beefy from ethereal armor(s), sacrifice him with Dying Wish and deal two times his power to opponent. I was thinking about adding arrest, but I don't have that great early game and the earlier I can stop his creatures the better. I might switch two Pacifism for two Arrest. Will definitely side board them though.

I guess you'd be using dying wish on a creature with ethereal armor on it? just noticed that, interesting. Since you dont have any counterspells in here and there are plenty of exile in standard right now to ruin your day with dying wish maybe maybe run something glaring spotlight to ramp some hexproof on your guys to avoid that, not to mention make them unblockable too. Attack, then sac dying wish creature for double the damage

Wow, I was actually looking for something that gave hexproof, but I completely overlooked Glaring Spotlight. Unblockable is also amazing with sacrifice. Thanks for the help!
