Deck discussion for Venser's Allies

nice strategy with the venser bouncing the allies. really douchey, but a good idea. Join the ranks isnt a bad spell either ;D

Haha, thanks. Join the ranks is fun but... It's a bit expensive for what it does.

I have to agree on the join the ranks. I run a kind of similar deck with Jace, The Mind Sculptor and Venser in the deck. Without a doubt the best card in the my deck is join the ranks.
It's hard to understand the craziness until you see all the stacked triggers in action. It gets you a ridulous amount of life with ondu clerics and lots of milling with excavators. Remember both ally tokens are seen as coming in at the same time but you get 2 separate triggers for each ally.

I think you are not running enough land either. You would be better off relegating some of your creatures to the sideboard at least.
You really should check my deck out: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=114031
It might give you some ideas.

I suppose you are right. I'll have to try it out. I went ahead and removed the shieldmates for it as they aren't very good anyways.

Halimar Excavator is just one of those cards that makes you want to kill yourself...

Yep! As well as Ondu Cleric... I just got hit by someone kicking a rite of replication on MY Ondu Clerics... It was game from then on.
