Deck Description

A straightforward deck that is based on the very first deck I built when I started playing MTG. The deck uses 2 types of mana acceleration: Wild Growth and Rampant Growth to help with the higher mana costs of the creatures/spells.

Pyroclasm for some board removal, Sparkcaster and Horned Kavu are the bouncers for the Flametounge and Titan Kavus. Rage Relfection for some tasty Double Strike action along with Kavu Monarch the Kavus will be a force to be reckoned with.

Deck discussion for Ravaging Kavus

This looks really interesting and powerful, Nemavon - I would have never thought a Kavu tribal deck. I'm just wondering why you don't run more spells that give your creatures tribal pump (with the exception of Kavu Monarch). Although it's probably overplayed, Coat of Arms is a nice choice. I would also run more mana ramp spells like Fertile Ground. Otherwise, the deck looks great. Thumbs up.

There's nothing really I could think of to add to this to pump up my Kavus other then door of destinies, I've had a falling out with Coat of Arms because it can also work for my opponent and I really dislike to use cards that have a two sided blade. Besides Kavus are already pretty strong, with Rage Reflection and the Monarch in play not much can stand in their way. I could probably fit in Fertile Ground to replace Hull Breach but I feel that being able to remove an enchantment and/or an artifact is too useful to pass up.

Thank you much for your comments they are very helpful!

How about using Alpha Status as a creature booster?

Plus you could always use Crown of Fury for an early game attack if you don't have Rage Reflection in play.

On the whole great deck.
