So about 2 years ago I was fascinated by elemental mastery and I attempted to make a deck to combo it with coat of arms. needless to say a lot of new cards have come out since then and I decided to take another crack at it.
So as far as an opening hand, keeping 2-3 mana creatures or 2 and an enlightened tutor is very good. The whole point of the deck is basically to get out either a hunted troll or a primeval titan and put elemental mastery on them while you have out coat of arms, parallel lives, or cathars' crusade. The results are:either 12 or 16 1/1s with parallel lives6 6/6s or8 8/8s with coat of arms6 7/7s or 8 9/9s and putting 6 or 8 +1/+1 counters on all of your other non token guys from cathars' crusadeon a side note if you are getting whomped on and need to stabilize you can tap the creature with elemental mastery and play luminescent rain to gain 12 or 16hp if you manage to pull off the combo you usually can pull out a win on the turn you first use elemental mastery. (on the plus side, if you have cathars' crusade and cant swing through their creatures, you will put 2x as many out the next turn and they will be massive.)I would highly recommend playing around with the deck if you like combos and having a ton of fatties on your board.

I believe you are missing some removal and protection. No Boros Charm? Or combat tricks?

Also removing pilgrims will free up four spots for some protection/removal.
I'd remove the Avacyn's Pilgrim for Brave the Elements or, like RolledAOne said, Boros Charm.
How is brave the elements good here?
Hm...true. I wasn't really thinking. Most board clear doesn't deal damage, so the protection wouldn't really matter.
And he has no white tokens/creatures...
I made a dumb
Thought of trying out some instants to add power to target creature? Giant growth type cards would be quick and cheap to get you a few more elementals out with mastery. I don't think you'd need to but you could also use sundial of the infinite to save your elementals from being removed.
thought of using become immense because +6/+6 seems pretty good and more often than not I have the cards in my graveyard from fetches and spells
Yes because delve is op
Why so many 5cmc buffs and not just stick to the over run token plan? This would free spots ^
true would be hard to get there but there is mana ramp
Purphoros,God of the Forge, would be a really good enchantment both of his ability's are relevant. first you make a load of tokens doing tones of damage then you give them +1/+0 and swing for win if they're not already dead! nice deck though!
Yup and with troll defense of the heart would be awesome too. Add avenger and boom.
i was honestly thinking of removing coat of arms earlier but i was still thinking of what to put in. Purphoros does sound really good though
Threw in 1 purphoros and 1 nylea so that they have trample too. Also she can buff the creature and get me more duders.
I Don't think trample is going to be very good since you're either going to have a bunch of 1/1s with trample which is rubbish or you're going to have like 6 6/6's with trample which good don't get me wrong but i'd rather have 6 6/6's a turn earlier or give them something else which isn't trample. if you're going to be swinging with the team then they're gonna have to sacrifice they're whole board to stop them from dieing. even so you'll still win from there without trample
If you take out the white sources you have your deck will be legal in modern and you don't have tri-colours to worry about plus there is only two different spells with white in the casting cost
Elemental Mastery would combo really well with Intruder Alarm.
I was thinking about it because i was considering running blue instead of white so that i could use sagu mauler because it protects itself from spot removal. I might have to work things around and see if i can make room for it
all of my yes!
the only problem with that is that i lose the ability to use enlightened tutor which has proved itself to be ridiculously good
You have 8 fetch lands for green, birds, and prime time so adding splash of blue would be easy if you wanted.
-2 charms-1 temple garden-1 rain-1 plains+2 intruder alarm+1 sagu mauler+2 breeding pool
Kessig Wolf Run x1?
not sure it really fits because I'm really just trying to get out a ton of little guys to swing instead of using 1 creature to get across
My thought for it is that you can use it as an instant. When your opponent declares blockers, you can pump up an unblocked creature.
what about primal forcemage and primordial hydra that way the primordial will keep giving more and more elements each turn and primal forcemage will make them come into play as 4/4s
Could run Midnight Guard and Presence of Gond. Untapping whenever a creature enters the field results in an unlimited amount of whatever you want.
- 3 luminescent rain for 2 Elspeth tirel (backed by boros charm for ult) and one shamanic revelation type card? Higher cmc but more utility.
"For Doomhammer!"Gotta love the theme of this deck. Elemental Mastery just comboes with so many cards. It almost looks like you were able to fit them all into same deck. Thumbs up for this deck friend. Thumbs up.
If you're just running mauler for hexproof why not just run Asceticism? Even better now with intruder alarm so you untap mana dorks forever for regen (although regen is just meh most the time). Also thoughts on intruder alarm taking parallel lives spot? Maybe you're getting to where you don't have the fatties as consistently (maybe a terra stadium for removal/more creatures for them to trigger defense of the heart) and would want another one or two or maybe a card like greater good for card draw? Academy rector might be worth a test too (takes a swords instead of a fattie, prevents early attack, gets a win con in play rather than just revealed to top deck like tutor). With blue splashed if you keep parallel lives you could play a 1 of rite of replication too lol. Just some more thoughts lol.
*terrastadon good ol iPhone lol
Sine you're splashing blue and white now you could consider to run noble hierarch her exalted ability is almost useless but is a better card then elvish mystic although quite expensive, also you could run prophet of kruphix so you can create defensive elemental tokens with cathers' crusade you'll get more counters on your permanent permanents
I think budget is the reason for no noble.
The deck seems kind of slow plus your mana base needs work.
