Deck Description

Its finally here - TRIBAL CENTAUR. And its standard to, however I don't think this deck will be seeing too much competitive play (Or hopefully it will). All deck revisions shall be considered, and I am very open to constructive criticism, as well as card suggestions. Also, my inspiration for this deck was the need for a standard deck that did not overlook the mighty Centaur race! Centaurs are awesome . . .

How to Play

Some "rules/tips" while playing this deck:

- Lagonna-Band Trailblazer is an awesome 1 drop for this deck, and with Hardened Scales, it is an ideal card in the early game, as its heroic ability stacks well with some of your pump spells.

- Your pump spells should be used defensively (the instants, anyways), but if you can win the game, go for the offensive use of them! Savage Surge is even nice enough to untap your creature AND pump it, which also adds +1/+1 counters to your heroic creatures!

- Against swarm decks, add in 2 End Hostilities and replace it with 2 Savage Punch. End Hostilities will clear the board, so try to have centaurs in your hand. And if you have creatures on the field, use it wisely and only in dire situations. Stupid 1/1 warriors, goblins, and other 1/1's!

- Centaurs are awesome.

- For the most part, save removal for the big creatures, not 1/1's!

- With Pheres-Band Warchief, your other Centaurs get +1/+1, trample AND vigilance. Very useful.

- Ajani, Mentor of Heroes is an awesome card for this deck, as he can put +1/+1 counters on your creatures, help you get needed cards where normally you would have to wait 2-4 turns. Also, 100 life is a game changer . . .

- Chronicler of Heroes is a fair card for its cost, it allows you to draw a card (as long as you have a +1/+1 counter on a creature), and a 3/3 for 3 mana is already a good deal. And its a Centaur!

- As awesome as your Centaurs are, they unfortunately cannot block targets that are 500 or so feet in the air. Which is why Plummet is in here. If you don't like Plummet, i'm sure you will find a sideboard card that you can replace it with.

Additional Comments:
For those of you who think this deck is too expensive, no problem! Just take out the Temple of Plenty (4) and the Windswept Heath (4), replace them with Plains (4) and Forest (4), and you have a very less expensive Centaur deck!
