Deck Description

A hopefully fast burn deck with no instants or sorceries. Dragonmaster Outcast, and kazuul are good at protecting Koth. Horizon spellbomb, and pilgrim's eye are to get land out, and more easily damage the opponent faster with Valakut. Lord of Shatterskull pass is to damage the opponent's creatures. Ideally it is easier to level up with the means to get land. Deathforge shaman and koth's second ability work really well together. Obsidian Fireheart is just amazing.

Deck discussion for Burn Deck, no Instants or Sorceries

To make it fast, you need to lower your mana curve, more one costs, try out some cards like perilous myr, goblin gaveleer with some useful equipments. Then you can make this faster, also try arc runner + nim deathmantle combo, or even just use ball lightning + nim deathmantle combo. no spells is fine, but you got to have more hasty creatures

I see what you are saying, but adding good creatures with haste takes away some of the focus in the deck, and the nim deathmantle combos are expensie if I want to play other things too. Besides ball lightning isn't standard legal. Also goblin gaveleer is virtually useless with out several equipments in the deck. If I added enough equipment in the deck for it to be worth keeping him, then it wouldn't be as much of a burn deck anymore.

I can see what you are goiing for in this deck. It's a neat idea, because when you hear burn, you usually think direct damage spells. Just a question, with koth's last ability, does that mean if you tap your lands for mana, it deals the 1 damage. Or does it mean instead of tapiing for mana, you can tap for damage?

If you get a chance, check out my decks. I would love some feedback.

Koth's final ability just gives you the ability to tap the land and it deals damage to a creature or player. It is separate from tapping for mana. You tap land to either add mana to your mana pool or to deal 1 damage to target creature or player.

a burn deck with no true burn!! BLASPHEMER!!! This is actually a pretty cool idea just thought I would say that. I go in the other direction with my burn deck (no creatures).
