Thanks for the tip. Manabarbs does seem like it would work. I made a Red/Green/Black werewolf deck if you are interested in seeing another spin I put on a werewolf deck. Take a look if you are interested. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=238426

Thanks for the tip, but I disagree. the Mayor helps the deck in each form it is in. I have means of getting many wolf creature tokens, and several of the creatures here are humans. Also Civilized scholar is useless in this deck once it transforms to the red creature. As for boneyard wurm, I don't like creatures whose power and toughness are only based on what is in the graveyard.
And yes, since the zendikar block will be taken out of standard, I will not be adding Joraga Warcaller.
Thanks for the tip, I do think adaptive automaton would work well here, and I want to get some, but I do not know what I would take out. I feel like if i had both them and caged sun, it would help even more. Yes, caged sun is more expensive, but I think I will have the mana for both. As for Genesis wave, and doubling chant, I like both better for different reasons. Doubling chant is cheaper, but Genesis wave can bring out a lot more, since I have only 4 non-permanents in the deck.
Yes, I was thinking about adding kor duelist, but I was making this deck to be type 2 as of the end of the month, and the kor creatures will be taken out of standard by then.I still might add it though. I agree that the outlaw from innistrad would be awesome in this deck. Only thing is I don't know how i feel about were wolves, since it depends on your opponents turn on when they transform.
Thanks for the comment. I haven't thought about how to deal with indestructibility yet. If you have an idea, i'm open to it. Grim Lavamancer doesn't seem a lot better than Spikeshot to me because i don't have easy ways of getting things to the graveyard, and that seems more limiting than Spikeshot's "power of 4 or greater" thing. I'm all for a cheap artifact that gives boosts to creatures, but something with battlecry won't help. I would have to attack and of course tap both signal pest, and the spikeshot. Once it is tapped, i won't be able to use the spikeshot's ability.
This looks well thought out. The cards seem to support each other well.
Yeah, idk what i was thinking for Rebirth, i just forgot to add artifacts, just added some free ones, that hopefully i will get first turn. I originally had Chancellor of the forge for some turn 1 haste creatures, but maybe that isn't worth it for that reason. I didn't really expect to actually play it. So I took out several cards and added several.
can't add any more cards for some reason.....that's weird
Oh, I took out 2 asceticisms, and the two doubling chants i had in there, meaning to ad genesis wave, and elixir of immortality. but for got to add them......
Thanks for the tip. I do like oth of those cards, and they do work well together. However, I would have a hard time telling what to take out to add them, and how many to add. I would like the same number of elves at least, and same with the urn cards. Asceticism is good for protecting the creatures. Doubling chant is obviously good for getting more elves, and i could reverberate it if i want. What would you recommend taking out for the cards you recommended?
Thanks for the tip, and I understand the primordial hydra would be put into the graveyard with genesis wave. I would only play the hydra if I drew it. I think it is worth sending a hydra to the grave with genesis wave, if it means i can get a lot of other permanents out on the field too. I like Dungrove Elder a lot, but this deck isn't as focused at getting forests as it is mana, even though i could get forests out with genesis wave as well. I like that the hydra can have trample, and the elder has hexproof, if there is a way to have both Do you have a suggestion on what else i could take out for the elder?
I thought about voltaic key, but if I have indomitable archangel out, I can't target any of my artifacts with it anyway.
Apart from the 2 grappling hooks I own this deck, and I do agree there are some costly cards. At the same time though, it could be very good defensively in early game if i get out darksteel myr or etched champion. Yes, 4 etched champions would be awesome, but I only own 1, and I'm not sure I want to buy 3 more separately. I do plan on getting the two grappling hooks somehow though.
That is true, both of those are great for a deck like this, but they both have a very high cost. I made this deck to be, pretty low costing in mana, and fast. Also, I physically own this deck. If I owned a Liege of the Tangle, I would probably put it in this deck, just because I think that card is amazing. Thanks for the tip.
Instead of windswept heath add sunpetal grove. One problem with this is you have is you have 3 creatures with a cost of 9, Akroma, Iona, and Reya. While they are clearly great cards, they each cost 3 plains, and you will not necessarily have the mana when you need it. You could take out a forest or 2 to add razorforge thicket. To answer your question, I think you could take out some elvish visionaries to add coat of arms, just be aware that coat of arms could also help your opponent. It effects all creatures in play.
2 things. First, I really do not like echo costs, along with the regular cost it can really highten the cost of certain creatures. If you pay the echo cost next turn it limits what else you can play, it's like summoning the same creature twice. Second, What is the point of Arid Masa? It is just taking up space where you could put mountains instead. If you want to get land like that add terramorphic expanse instead, but even then I think you might as well add more mountains instead.
I agree with you there, but none of those cards you named are standard legal, i might add some myrs to give me more lana though.
Koth's final ability just gives you the ability to tap the land and it deals damage to a creature or player. It is separate from tapping for mana. You tap land to either add mana to your mana pool or to deal 1 damage to target creature or player.
I see what you are saying, but adding good creatures with haste takes away some of the focus in the deck, and the nim deathmantle combos are expensie if I want to play other things too. Besides ball lightning isn't standard legal. Also goblin gaveleer is virtually useless with out several equipments in the deck. If I added enough equipment in the deck for it to be worth keeping him, then it wouldn't be as much of a burn deck anymore.
