I like your overall deck idea but I dont think the Festerhide boar is what you want out of your 4 drops. There is so much more enter the battle field options you can go with other than that. I just dont think it helps you do what you want to.

Pretty sure it is from the swords/pikes. Not 100% sure on that because I didn't name the deck.

Honestly I am not sure. I am thinking about maybe running this as a second deck that I will try and let my friends use. I dont know a ton about the deck yet but the threat is getting out a Geist as a threat. So you can do this also in a cheaper way with invis stalker. Being hex proof if you put a Pike on him he is gonna do some work. I do not see any options for snap caster replacements my best suggestion would to basically trade anything and everything you can/have to try and get some.

In summary if you can find a legit threat that is playable you can replace geist. Then trade your soul away for snap casters.

I might put in mana leak over negate because i think that standard mana leak is the best counter spell in standard right now. I also like felidar sovereign for another win condition and a sort of bomb.

This deck was a just a fun deck that i made. I have no real intentions of making this a tournament deck it is just kinda fun to have a merfolk army in a 4 person game.

Thanks for your comments i think i might take out the searing blaze for stagger shock because stagger shock can always hit something were as searing blaze has to have a creature to hit also. Were stagger shock can always just hit the person for 4 or take a creature or two with it.

you need more than 14 lands. It does not mater if you your spells don't cost a lot of mana if you don't have it.

The deck was made to win fast. Late game you hope you have a fully leveled dragonlord to finish it off. The devastating summons with a goblin bushwhacker allows you do i think 12 damage on turn 3 or 4 if depending on what you have on the field.

I would have put them in but forgot when making it. I don't think I will personally run the fetch lands because I don't have them or the money for them. I need to find some teetering peaks though.

The deck has been play tested today. What i have found out is that 1v1 it is not that good. In big games if you can last to make copies of stuff and not get ganged up on you can control the whole thing. I was thinking of putting in some bounce spells but i am not sure what to remove for them and what spells exactly to get.

I switched spell pierce for divination for a card drawing engine. I felt that negate and spell pierce were about the same. Any thoughts?

I have not play tested this deck or come close to getting all the cards i need to for it just thought of it and saw another person with the same kind of idea and went with it.When I created the deck i saw Lullmage Mentor and Rite of Replication and my mind just starting thinking of the counter posiblitys. So if you were able to get Lullmage mentor out and make a few coppys of it and start counting spells you would have an army of little merfolk dudes running around. Which could be used as meat sheilds or for counters. I do underst stand were my friend coming from and using blue decks befor you need to draw cards.
