My first deck I ever made was a Myr Stompy deck, which I loved very much, only because something about Myr really appeals to me. It was a mono white deck, and was all good, the only problem was that a well placed Pyroclasm would absolutely wreck it's day. With very little way to keep your Myrs alive before they get nuked by some ungodly force, it sadly just could not be competitive.
So, I looked to blue for counters. And then, the other day, I drew an Exsanguinate from a booster, and realized, holy hell, I could use Myrs to do infinite damage! For anyone who doesn't know how the combo works:
2 Myr Galvanizer
2 of any mana Myr, or 1 Palladium Myr
Tap the 2 mana Myrs or Palladium Myr, tap the Galvanizer to untap them (1 floating mana), tap the mana Myrs again, tap your other Galvanizer (2 mana floating, also untapping the other Galvanizer)... Infinite mana.
Cool combo, but also bad, considering that Myrs like to get nuked. So, blue for counters? Black for looking through my deck for Myrs, and Exsanguinate for infinite damage. IF all else fails, and the combo can't do it, it can potentially just beatdown the opponent with Spheres. Maybe.
Protips welcome. PS, the deck is sorta kinda budget. Yes, I know, "Mox Opal," but... monies :(
Sideboard, don't know yet.
Also, Standard deck.
