The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Budget Deck for Casual Play

I was wondering if this deck could work without the use of Buried Alive. How vital is that card for the use of Haakon? Could it possibly be replaced by something like Delirium Skeins?

I like Day of Judgment because it allows Holy Nimbus to regenerate.

Anything I should add? I would love some tips/suggestions.

ol ok buried alive help b/c then u can assure by turn four u can get haakon and uve missed a huge point with the deck lol the two main spells u use with haakon are crib swap and nameless inversion wich are changeling tribal instant with nameless inversion u can kill a creature with a defense 3 or lower and with crib swap u replace any creatures that have a stronger than 3 def. the beauty of it u can cast it infinitive times with haakon, so its a must in a haakon deck. chek out my haakon deck http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=40302

So is Buried Alive absolutely necessary?

And I'd like some help with lands. Haakon needs 2 black and most of the knights need 2 white. Since I have no 1 drops, would Arcane Sanctum be okay? Keep in mind this is a budget deck. XD

I wouldn't say Buried Alive is absolutely necessary, but it does help quite a bit. If you're relying on delirium skeins to get him into the graveyard, it requires that you get both him, and the skeins in hand by turn three or so. Buried Alive is generally better, because it allows you to search up a copy from your library, and get two bonus knights in the process. Skeins will give you less options, unless you somehow end up with all three copies of Haakon in your hand.

Additionally, I'd suggest adding some of the cheaper knights that might be useful against certain foes, like Black knight, or Silver knight. They won't get the flanking bonus of the cavalry master, but they're solid, especially against certain colors.

I think you could get away with arcane sanctums, though I'd probably add them to the lands you've already got. If you can manage to find some marsh flats, I'd suggest putting them in, but that's not exactly a budget friendly solution.

i would also take out a calvary master and put in cheaper knights and add more kinsbaile since double strike will power up the deck alot
