Deck Description

Mardu Deck

Commander: Alesha, Who Smiles at Death

As you would expect, this is filled with Power =< 2 + ETB creatures as well as supporting enchantments, sorceries, and instants. Master of Cruelties is a *special guest* at our table of carnal feasting.

This is a deck that LIKES the graveyard, so don't worry about critters dying.

How to Play

Hey, batter, batter!

Because we actually LIKE the graveyard, there a couple of mill creatures. Get some goodies in the graveyard, and then start swinging with General Alesha, paying for her minion.

There are some fairly sweet combos in here, nothing extraordinary, but fun to watch out for.

Deck discussion for EDH: Grinning Ear 2 Ear

I hate to break it to you but with your commander only being Red you can only have red cards plus artifacts, in your deck

The Commander is Red, White, and Black. Look at her triggered ability.

The color identity for a Commander is officially set as such:
[From http://mtgcommander.net/rules.php See #3]

A card's colour identity is its colour plus the colour of any mana symbols in the card's rules text. A card's colour identity is established before the game begins, and cannot be changed by game effects.

Details:
• Lands whose type includes swamp, island, plains, forest and/or mountain (e.g.: basic lands, shocklands, dual lands, Shadowmoor special-basics, etc) DO contain the corresponding mana symbol(s) as per CR 305.6. As such, while they are "colourless" they do have a colour identity and may not appear in a deck unless the Commander is of the appropriate identity.
• While hybrid mana symbols may be played with either colour mana, they contribute both colours to the card's colour identity. Therefore they may only be played with a Commander whose identity includes ALL of the hybrid symbols' colours.
• Basic land words (swamp, forest, etc) in the text box of a card do NOT represent a coloured mana symbol. They are not restricted to a Commander of the same colour identity.
• Reminder text is not included in the colour identity of a card.

Why illusionist's bracers? Alesha's ability is triggered not activated.

Hi Camfrye,
I did put it in there for Alesha, but I actually need Strionic Resonator. I've just ordered one, and made the change above. Yep, you're right, her ability is triggered, not activated, and I knew that beforehand but "brain-farted". :P Thanks for pointing it out!!
