I'm tempted to build this one; I have most of the cards to do it.

Hi Camfrye,I did put it in there for Alesha, but I actually need Strionic Resonator. I've just ordered one, and made the change above. Yep, you're right, her ability is triggered, not activated, and I knew that beforehand but "brain-farted". :P Thanks for pointing it out!!
The color identity for a Commander is officially set as such: [From http://mtgcommander.net/rules.php See #3]A card's colour identity is its colour plus the colour of any mana symbols in the card's rules text. A card's colour identity is established before the game begins, and cannot be changed by game effects. Details: • Lands whose type includes swamp, island, plains, forest and/or mountain (e.g.: basic lands, shocklands, dual lands, Shadowmoor special-basics, etc) DO contain the corresponding mana symbol(s) as per CR 305.6. As such, while they are "colourless" they do have a colour identity and may not appear in a deck unless the Commander is of the appropriate identity.• While hybrid mana symbols may be played with either colour mana, they contribute both colours to the card's colour identity. Therefore they may only be played with a Commander whose identity includes ALL of the hybrid symbols' colours.• Basic land words (swamp, forest, etc) in the text box of a card do NOT represent a coloured mana symbol. They are not restricted to a Commander of the same colour identity.• Reminder text is not included in the colour identity of a card.
The Commander is Red, White, and Black. Look at her triggered ability.
Pretty sweet!Viridian Longbow is terrific for giving your deathtouch creatures pinging, and I also think the Infect/Wither potential is here. One card I'd definitely recommend, especially since this is a budget deck, is (DotTG) Dictate of the Twin Gods - a 25-cent 5 CMC (3+RR) rare enchantment with flash which each double the damage dealt to permanents or players. See http://shop.tcgplayer.com/magic/journey-into-nyx/dictate-of-the-twin-gods With all four out, your Goblin Sharpshooter would be pinging for 16 damage. Also, a quad of Rogue's Passage nonbasic land would be extremely terrifying to your opponent(s). Pay 4, tap the land, target creature becomes unblockable. These are also about 25-cents each.Lastly, for about 50-cents, Illusionist's Bracers is equipment that duplicates activated abilities, and allows you to choose new targets - in other words, with just a single Bracer, your Goblin Sharpshooter could ping your opponent for 32 damage, or two creatures for 16 damage, assuming you had four DotTG out. With infect, wither, or deathtouch, you can see how powerful the Illusionist's Bracers and/or the DotTG additions could be.Thanks for giving me some great material to think about!Cheers,Robert~
Wish List for this Deck:Thousand Year ElixirMichiko Konda, Truth SeekerSpear of Heliod (maybe)
Hi Jessie,You taught me a new card, and I *LOVE* it! I'm ordering 4 for this deck; I'm not sure what to replace with them, but heck yeah! Thanks a bunch!!
Excellent idea! Here are some tweaks to help make it stellar: Replace the necessary number of islands and swamps with the following: Blue/Black lands - four of each type that you can find/afford4 Ring of Three Wishes4 Neurok Transmuter4 Shape Anew4 Diabolic RevelationsUse the tutors to go get your Rings or use Neurok Transmuter + Shape Anew to get a Ring.Use your rings or your revelations to find cards of choice in your list above to execute your master plans. :)One more thing: I'd also hold off on playing any Reliquary Towers until you get your Zombie Infestation out.P.S.: btw, You still have the Elixers in your description.
[4 more Insurrection, not PMs]
Thanks, Green Oni! I did not know about that card - it is now in my cart for my next order, destined for this deck! Too bad Panoptic Mirror is banned from EDH. But I've added 4 more for a casual PM deck I made, just to make my buddies cry. XDThanks again for letting me know about this gem!!
Oh, yes, I'd LOVE to put an Unwinding Clock in this! But, they are all in my other decks. :( I'll have to order more at some point.I forgot about Thespian's Stage! Thanks!! I'd never heard of Vesuva, either, until now. In my wishlist. :D "Tron", eh? I've learned yet another thing today. (BTW, the original Tron arcade game was one of the best ever of the genre; too bad few people ever experienced it that way.)Thanks, Pheonix!
Very nice! I have a similar deck that I really like for multiplayer. In my deck - since it is Casual - I have a couple of Stuffy Doll, a couple of Darksteel Plate, and a couple of Pariah or Pariah's Shield. The other Red/White creatures are either Boros or from earlier decks, but pretty much all have the same characteristics, mythic rares notwithstanding.Consider getting 2 - 4 "Brave the Sands" from the current Tarkir set. It's an Uncommon white Enchantment at 2CMC (WC) that gives your all of your creatures vigilance and the ability to block an additional creature! Cheap and PERFECT for this deck.
Hmm... I missed the notifications for your comments on this deck. I agree: more Boros Charm. :)
Hi BigGeorge, and thanks for the comments and compliment! Ah, I had a mistake: the three Perilous Myr were supposed to be Alloy Myr; I've fixed that. Now there is plenty of mana to go around - in fact it is very easy to get an infinite mana loop with two mana generating Myr plus two Myr Galvanizers, not to mention an insane amount of colorless mana being generated by Urza's lands. Additionally, Unstable Frontier makes any other land I control a basic land of my choice. Surprising what a simple error as swapping out three Myr makes with the mana curve! And I never would have noticed if you hadn't brought it to my attention. Thanks again!Robert~
MASSIVE UPDATE!==== CHANGES 03OCT2014=====Spiffmeister got me thinking about this deck a little more, as did EagleEye on another artifact deck. So I dug through some stashes, and came up with the following changes now in effect:-2 Dimir Guildgate - Land-2 Darksteen Citadel - Land+4 Rogue's Passage - Land+1 Tezerret the Seeker - Planeswalker-1 Mystic Veil - Sorcery (with flash)+2 Neurok Stealthsuit - Artifact Equipment-2 Duskmantle Seer - Creature+1 Prophetic Prism - Artifact (mana filter)-1 Vessel of Endless Rest - Artifact (mana producer)The only black left in the deck is Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas, and I have four different ways to obtain that one black mana. By the way, 5 mana casts anything in the deck except Platinum Emperion and Darksteel Forge.
Very nice! If I were to build this deck, I would do it very close to this with a few changes. The most profound one would be that I'd get rid of two of the Urza's Incubators and replace them with Mycosynth lattice. The reason for this is two-fold: you have three colors - ML makes all spells basically colorless yet still activate abilities required colored mana. In fact, you could use a Forest to activate something wanting Red for the activation! The second reason is that you have a LOT of ways to make spells costs (n) colorless less but you don't have stuff to make them (n) red or (n) black less. ML fixes that for you by letting you cast Dragon Broodmother for free, for instance, because the spells are now colorless. If I dropped in a couple Mycosynth Lattice, then I would trade out Dragon Tyrant, Dragon Broodmother, and Broodmate Dragon and add in three more Hellkite Tyrant. Consider removing all the green from your deck, too. While the couple of dragons that need it are nice, as well as the sorceries and instants, a third color is really problematic even in a multi-player game. Having played enough of them, I learned it will bite you at some point. Swapping the Rootbound Crags for a second pair of Dragonskull Summits, and trading each Cultivate for a Manalith or Sol Ring would make this now red/black only deck even faster. The Lurking Predators are great, but if you get something that lets you draw cards you'll have something almost equivalent without needing green. Or, get a couple of Fervor so your creatures have haste.Love the dragons! :)
Hi EagleEye,The cards came in, and the subs have been made. Hopefully I'll get a chance to play it this weekend. :)By the way, I have a lot of artifact decks. Check them out; some may give you more ideas! Thanks again for your suggestions and letting me know about these other cards. Perhaps one day I will spend the $$ and get the good stuff for this one.Peace,Robert~
Thank you very much!!For protecting Emperion, the deck actually does a pretty good job of it plus retrieving it from the graveyard if need be. But with four of them, I often have a spare in my hand. If I would change anything, I'd add a couple Neurok Stealthsuits, which are super cheap and provides Shroud/Counter at instant speed for 2 Blue. They'd replace one Mystic Veil and one Elixir or Immortality.Glad you like it, and thanks for the comment!Cheers,Robert~
Hi Vaan and Draeraenes,That Bio deck is wicked. I've never heard of Training Grounds or Gilder Bairn before today. I gotta get some! And some more Paradise Mantle; the only one I have is in a zero lands artifact deck. :(Thanks for the suggestions! :D
LOL! Yes, definitely interesting! I have three separate decks, each using one of those. :) Skullclamp is a particular favorite, along with cranial plating. He he he!
