3 artifacts will NEVER hit metalcraft. Just saying.

No, i know that. I was contemplating taking him out but a friend suggested keeping him because he is a 5/4 first strike and even with just one sword equipped to him would be good.
So turn 6 he becomes decent? Maybe? No, he should be dropped immediately.
He is decent as soon as he hits the board. A 5/4 first striker is great and even one sword makes him a 7/6. He fits well in this deck and serves as a good late game fatty.
No, he doesn't fit the deck. He's a random fattie. 5/4 isn't good enough right now, since the next turn titans start dropping no problem. Him and instigator have no real purpose here.
kaim, quit being harassing people. seriously, Try and lower the land to 20 and add a sword each. Staggershock only became good because of things like Kiln Fiend, so I'd drop that and add another 1 sword each, putting you at 9 artifacts instead of 3.
Let's look at what you just said. Go to 20 lands in what is basically Boros? With 8 fetches, which are decent thinning in such amounts, that'd leave him with 12 mana sources. No where near enough. Not to mention 4 of those are tapped lands, and he couldn't support Koth. Staggershock is normally a 2 for 1, that's always good. Basic game theory there. 3 copies of each sword is way to many. It's be better just to take out the one card that doesn't work than change the entire deck. Now, two copies each of Feast and Famine and Tolstoy would be a good plan since pro blue/green isn't that great in this meta.
Now let's take a look at what you said. No, it leaves him with 18 mana sources. The fetch lands bring things into play untapped. I'm not saying lose Basic lands, I'm saying drop from 23 to 20. That's 3 goddamn lands. The curve 5, with that being only two cards in the deck. 20 is a fine number. Staggershock costs a good 3 for a kicked Burst. It's fine, but there's better cards in Standard. Since doesn't have a sideboard I assume this isn't for tourney, so Pyroclasm or something more effective in wiping out masse. People have jumped between the 2-3 for the swords for a while. CAW blade use to run 3 but went down to 2 and back up to 3 and back down to 2. It's varying depending on how much they are your win condition.
Fetch lands are not mana sources, they cannot be counted as such. Most Boros lists run around 25-26 lands. It's still only 12 mana sources, which is way too low. Honestly I'd take out 1-2 peaks for plains since you have less ways to get them out. Staggershock is rarely just a burst, and this format has plenty of lovely targets for it to hit. It's good against Caw-Blade, since they barely run counters and in that match up it's better than arc trail since you can do it in response to an equip. Pyroclasm would just blow his own field up, and he needs to keep creatures. Caw-blade is very different from this deck. Caw-blade is midrange or fish, while this is aggro. If anything, he should run stoneforge if the swords are a big component. I see no reason to not play her, outside of budget. Compairing the two just isn't right. This is much closer to Boros in format, though not in power.
