Nath's EDH Deck It has some kind of dickish, degenerate combos, (see: Nath of the Gilt-Leaf + Sadistic Hypnotist) But I like it because it is a fun to play meshing of elf aggro and control. You usually want to set up the Nath combo (or the beggar's version with Nezumi Bone-Reader) and establish tempo control while generating a small army. That army will eventually be your win con via either Ezrui, Renegade Leader or Garruk Wildspeaker or even just Eldrazi Monument. However if for some reason you cannot generate an army there is the fallback play of just throwing down a massive Lord of Extinction. For the times when you just can't win via attacking there are noncreature options like a massive Death Cloud or in cases of finishing off a single opponent Suffer the Past which is also timely graveyard hate if you need it. Most of the remaining spells focus on high utility. Nullmage Shepherd works great with your many tokens to deal with pesky artifacts or enchantments. There is plenty of mana ramp and ditto for tutors this is a green/black deck after all. (Though for reasons of expense it isn't too tutor heavy). One of my favorite cards is Grim Harvest, and there is a nice cache of cards which you can continually reuse to better your board state. Namely Augur of Skulls, Thoughtpicker Witch and Shriekmaw. One small combos include Words of Waste + Geth's Grimoire. Overall it is pretty competitive especially in multiplayer. I wouldn't make it my only deck though. People tend to pile on the hate when they have to discard their hand constantly. As a side note non-budget upgrades include green EDH staples such as Exploration, Doubling Season, and most of all Earthcraft. Always Earthcraft. But as I lack access to these cards and am lukewarm about proxies I didn't include them.
