Deck Description

My biggest question about making a sliver deck...
Do I want to run more multiples of slivers, or do I want a range of different slivers with less copies?

I feel like its risky either way, I either end up with too much or too little.

Which is why i tried to go for balance. my first set up, didn't really use any 1 drops, now i have established a solid base of them, because the more slivers you have, the better. Because so many slivers offer so many different abilities, and all of them are awesome, i picked my favorite ( Toxin Sliver, BoneScythe Sliver, Syphon Sliver, Crypt Sliver, Magma Sliver) and am only running a couple copies. I have 12 slivers in here that buff up all the rest, which i made my main focus. I learned from having an overloaded electrickery used on me, that higher toughness is much more needed than anything else. My mana should never be a problem with my land choices and both gemhide and manaweft sliver. Homing sliver is the only 3 drop that i am running 4 copies of and for obvious reasons.

thoughts and comments appreciated

How to Play

My sliver deck had started losing steam against my friends, so im really pumped about the new cards.

The goal with sliver decks is to swarm and swarm fast. That's why im running both Gemhide and Manaweft sliver, because getting that mana boost is essential. Being able to out cast an opponent will be needed in order to swarm properly.

Using Homing Sliver for some search to ensure that im getting the sliver I need when I need it.

Muscle, Predatory and Sliver Legion are for some much needed buffs to keep my slivers alive longer and swinging stronger. Magma Sliver is by far my favorite sliver ever, packing so much power into my damage. I have Crypt Sliver to save lives if needed.

All in all, Il have buffed up, flying, double strike, deathtouch, lifelink for offense and buffed up mana adding, regenerate slivers for defense.
What more could you want in a deck?

well I think door of d is a better sub for coat of arms. aether vial is rather pointless with the ramp I have and the relative low cost of things. And gaeas cradle is stupid expensive and im not seeing a use for it in here at all...

aether vial is necessary because it allows you to instant speed play uncounterable slivers, I don't see why not? also why no sinew sliver or muscle sliver? especially if it's legacy

door cost one less, but you don't get +1 counters for all the creatures you aquired before you put out door. gaeas is good for any deck that puts out a bunch of creatures. you lack card drawing

true I don't get those counters, but coat of arms helps my opponents too, and its really screwed me over before. My friends run goblins and elves and soldiers and all sorts of other things that I don't want to see getting any bigger than they already do. I will add the muscle sliver and the aether vial. when I first read aether vial I thought you HAD to put a charge counter on it, meaning that after a few turns it would be pretty useless. I still don't see a need for Gaeas Cradle, and I do agree that I lack some card draw. I am running 4 homing slivers though so I can get the specific slivers I want. Im not quite sure how to incorporate any card draw without giving up something important. Any thoughts?

I added hunters insight and changed up a few things, and made it cheaper in the process

How about Hive Stirrings. Two more Slivers that can receive benefit from all the other Slivers you have.
