How to Play

Best Draws

1t: mountain-rite of flame X2-geosurge- balefire dragon or furyborn dragon

1t: mountain- skirk prospector
2t: mountain- rite of flame-goblin fodder- sac all 3 goblins and tap last mountain-geosurge- balefire or furyborn

There are even more 4th turn combos that are more likely to happen, but the above are the fastest I can see, while not reliable, its still always a possibility.

I like that a lot, but it scares me that I might have a hard time getting more dragons out fast enough if I sacrifice my goblins to play him. Know what I mean? he could be a nice finisher though

You can always draw a Dragonstorm! Then it won't matter if all the dragons are at the bottom. The deck is great though. I made it with a few modifications. Personnaly, I think your dragons cost way too much mana. Voracious Dragon is a must and is pretty cheap, especially with the shaman out. Moonveil Dragon only costs 6 and gives all your creatures +1/+0 until end of turn for only 1 mountain and yes it does stack. Also I prefer Bogardan over Balefire(Dragonstorm Combo = Insta Win) and I also changed the goblins around a bit, mostly to get Mogg War Marshall in there. I also added in Koth of the Hammer planeswalker because it has an ability to double your mana until end of turn(extremely useful for the dragons) and he only costs 3 to play! Oh and almost forgot, 4 SEETHING SONGS! Can't emphasize that enough. Anyways, great deck regardless it inspired me to make this deck and it works great! Thanks!

yea I don't really need seething songs in here, ive seen this deck play really well on a regular basis. Balefire Dragon is just a beast, if you cant kill it, say goodbye to your creatures every time it hits you. The whole idea was to play big high costing powerful dragons that will hold there own once on the field. Bogardan is pretty cool, he would do well in here, but id rather have the one of the other dragons out. Bogardan serves his purpose once he hits the field and isn't much of a threat if im playing any sort of aggressive deck. He would be most useful in a Dragonstorm but I don't want to rely on that for him, nor do I want to make room for 4 of him. I would add cheaper dragons, but I have yet to see this deck have a hard time with casting costs. Thanks, im really happy you like the deck :p

Well I guess it all comes down to opinion. You're right though Balefire is nice but, like you said, only IF you cant kill it. IF it dies, it was a useless summon wasting a whole lot of cards and mana, whereas if a Bogardan dies at least it did 5 damage before it died. Voracious Dragon also deals direct damage to an opponent when he's summoned if you sacrifice goblins. Anyways, my dragons die about 30% of the time from Murders, Doom Blades, etc. especially in multiplayer so that's why I got key dragons like that and you should definitely reconsider Moonveil Dragon, trust me!

A seething would be very nice for this. Turn two rite of flames->seething song->geosurge->utvara hellkite.

Definitely bought this deck and its incredible. Potential first turn balefire dragon. Definite any dragon third turn as long as I don't get shafted on the draw. Mobbsdeep can vouch ;) took him down plenty with this deck.

yea lol, my advice is don't play this deck with another goblin deck, brightstone ritual is a double edged sword :p I was quite surprised how well it actually worked. Good job me! lol

Dunno if this was in comments (too many to read lol) but moonviel dragon would be great in this deck since your goblins give you so much mana

he wouldn't be bad, but the dragons I chose have specific abilities that im looking for. Balefire Dragon is pretty much a board wipe each time it hits. My friend owns this deck and ive conceded many times if he gets it out in the first couple of turns. Utvara Hellkite allows me to spam dragons, which is obviously never a bad thing. Suddenly your being attacked with 8 6/6 flying dragons, which is going to give 8 more to block with, and 16 to attack with next turn. Utvara and Balefire dragon are the most usable dragons out of all of the dragons I have ever looked at, and trust me I looked at a lot of them before I made this. Furyborn isn't really all that needed and doesn't see play a lot with the additional 6 counters on him, but the potential is always there and that's why I chose him as well. Moonveil is cool, but the goblins double as chump blockers as well as mana food, so they are never guaranteed to be on the battlefield for long, which would render Moonveil rather useless. Thanks for the comment though, im always interested in ideas on tweaking.
