Deck Description

I was having trouble deciding on whether or not to make a mill deck or a discard deck. When one of my friends finally said to just make both I started working. Well after about a couple of weeks of work i finally came up with this deck. Please comment on any improvements you may find because i would really like to see this deck run to it's fullest potential.

why didn't you add mindsculpt? a set of those could mill your opponent for 28. also, you could try adding in fog bank to keep creatures at bay while you mill out your opponent. as for the lands, maybe you could throw in a set of sulfur falls, or, seeing as though this is a modern deck, you could throw in some izzet lands. increasing vengeance or reverberate would do well, too. increasing confusion and sands of delirium are also some other mill cards you could consider. but anyway, it's still best to go with what you feel suits your metagame.

if you have the time, i'd like to hear any suggestions you can make for my grixis control deck. ^_^

I have an increasing confusion but that along with the sands of delirium drain all of my mana to drop at best maybe 7-14 cards. But with the wheels of fortune, windfall, wheel of fate, reforge the soul, incendiary command......+ howling mines means that for a 6 mana drop that i can prob grab about on average atleast 15-20 cards a turn. But It did take a while to decide to take out the increasing confusion but it may always be another option i'll prob side board it. Thanks for the suggestions I'll check out your deck momentarily.

Kozilek - u only get to draw cards if you pay the 10 to cast him. Other than him I like this deck. Ive never made a discard deck but it seems to be more of a piss off than a mill deck cause you keep discarding your hand. The only thing i would Replace is Kozilek And Replace him With Karn the Planeswalker. So you can make opponent exile cards from his hand every turn or exile target permanent. Karn is a Beast. If your being Overrun with Creatures Add 4 Ornithropters they have 0 casting cost and are 0/2 flyers that are great for blockers. Also if you could fit 1 or 2 Sol Rings they would greatly improve your mana.

Actually i just got a playset of Emrakul and put one of him in here. the same principle still applys with either. When we are both/all dropping our hands i would like to have something that allows me to shuffle my graveyard into my library seeing as how we will all be discarding our hands. I thought about karn but i could use the 7 mana to play a couple of mill spells. I tinkered with the ornithopters with another deck similar to this one but I was running U/B instead so i had animate dead, dance of the dead etc. so the little blockers didn't seem as signifigant as the potential big guns that i could pull from my opponent.
