Idea:The basic idea here was to combine two things that...don't real belong together: exalted and landfall. The problem is that in 4 testgames this only worked once. 25% reliability is not what I call good. I changed some numbers, mainly on the creature side, after those games and that's what has come from it. The new version is untested at the moment. Cardpool:Like many players I first looked into magic with Eight Edition/ Mirrodin tough I didn't start to seriously play and collect until Innistrad. My cardpool is limited and ,though I did discover many new cards from blocks I didn't even know, my focus lies on modern legality. Thus modern-legal cards only where used to build this deck, though it doesn't mean I'm not open to other suggestions.Ban-list:For our local playgroup we decided to use the pauper ban-list and each card that is available as common in a modern-legal pauper deck. For example the Mirrodin artefact lands are legal while Rancor and Cranial Plating aren't.Tests:I have played the previous version of this deck against some (few) other decks. I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to improve this deck.
Play creatures with exalted like "Akrasan Squire" early on to put pressure on your opponent. "Ghostly Flicker" and "Ranger's Guile" will help to keep them alive until "Baloth Woodcrasher" comes on the field. A single landdrop can then give your opponent the rest.
