Deck Description

I wanted to create a budget friendly version of a esper control deck.
It's rather difficult to replace some of the basic cards but this is what I came up with.
"Snapcaster Mage" got replaced by "Archaeomancer". The Archaeomancer allows us to re-use a spell played earlier on, even if it does cost much more than Snappy.
"Supreme Verdict" go replaced with "Day of Judgment", in a budget friendly enviroment it's the best you can get.
"Sphinx's Revelation" and "Cryptic Command" as draw spells where replaced with "Consult the Necrosages" and "Foresee".
"Spell Snare", "Remand", "Condescend" and "Cryptic Command" as counterspells where replaced with "Rune Snag" and "Dimir Charm".
"Path to Exile" and "Dismember" was replaced with "Crib Swap", "Unmake", "Reality Shift", "Dimir Charm" and "Doom Blade"

Price before adding special lands ~24$ (Mid Value)

This deck exists only on this site and has never been played against another deck. Regardless I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to improve this deck.

How to Play

The basic idea here is to have answers on every threat until our own finishers come up. 3 mass-removals, 6 point removals, 7 discard-spells and 8 counterspells should help to hinder your opponents game plan. Many of those spells are dual-purpose so they will fit for many occasions. 8 draw-spells make sure you find what you are looking for.
This deck will finish the game with either "White Sun's Zenith" or "Elspeth, Sun's Champion".
