Deck Description

Basic Idea
It took a while, but when seeing the magecraft ability, the storm-keyword came to my mind. There are some possibility's in building this in other colours, but in the end I did choose white and red.

Tests
I have tested this deck against other pauper decks. The decks I tested against are a mixture of Control and Aggro and the result are recorded in a spreadsheet. If you're interested in details from the spreadsheet, feel free to ask.

I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to improve this deck.

How to Play

[[Lagonna-Band Trailblazer]] is a great cmc1 creature as it will put a break on most aggro decks and is bolt-proof. With a [[Eager First-Year]] and/ or [[[Burning Prophet]] on the battlefield you should let loose your cantrips, draw cards and try to build up a storm counter to unleash a [[Ground Rift]].
The deck will only have one chance of striking a winning blow, so you should be careful when to attack.

Deck discussion for W/R Pauper: Spellslinger Storm

The phyrexian spells, mutagenic growth and patriarchs blessing have proven themselves plenty of times in infect.
Including noxious revival and surgical extraction might also pay of with ground rift as an enabling spell.

Testing is done. Sadly, the combination of Eager First-Year and Ground Rift is good...but happens way to few times. The deck wins either in one big rush, or goes down trying to. I did some changes, like removing Akroan Crusader (maybe a 2/2 split with Lagonna-Band Trailblazer) and adding Homestead Courage instead.
All in all it's not that powerful, sure it sometimes can surprise opponents, but there are many decks able of doing so.
