Deck Description

[u]Basic Idea[/u]
I already had built a 3-coloured version of slivers, but wasn't quite happy with how it behaved. I also have learned to like 2-coloured decks more than 3-coloured ones, because of the easier and less frail mana-base. So I decided split the 3-coloured deck into two 2 coloured ones (Gruul (R/G) and Selesnya (W/G)) and update them.

[u]Tests[/u]
I have tested this deck against other pauper decks. The decks I tested against are a mixture of Control and Aggro and the result are recorded in a spreadsheet. If you're interested in details from the spreadsheet, feel free to ask.

I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to improve this deck.

How to Play

This sliver deck has even more lords than my previous Gruul version! [[Muscle Sliver]], [[Predatory Sliver]], [[Sinew Sliver]] and [[Plated Sliver]] will ensure that your tiny 1/1 slivers won't stay tiny long.
Drawback is that you have nearly zero removal or protection (what do you think would be more important in such a deck?), so you have to rely on mass and speed to overwhelm your opponent. With half the deck being creatures [[Lead the Stampede]] should be especially useful and draw you more than the average 1-2 creatures.

Deck discussion for W/G Pauper: Slivers

How much use do you see out of Lead the Stampede? Obviously it depends on your meta, but I always find that I get less use from it and more from cards like Snakeskin Veil. Either way a really fun deck!

I have tested my mono green stompy deck in 200+ games against my other decks and I'm using a 2/2 split of Lead the Stampede and Adventure Awaits there to draw cards. With 17 creatures Lead the Stampede draws an average of 2 cards. I haven't tested it yet but my guess is that with 30 creatures it should perform better.
Protection vs carddraw...tough choice. In a deck where you rely on class I would go for protection, in a deck where it doesn't matter if a creature dies carddraw would be my choice. As slivers are the merfolk of pauper you can afford loosing a lord as you should have enough to compensate it.

I finally was able to do the testgames I wanted to.
Lead the Stampede draws you 2-3 creatures in average, rarely less or more.
I wasn't quite convinced by Virulent Sliver, because if you have 9 poison counters on your opponent, and he manages to get rid of this sliver, you basically start at 0, until you're able to draw/ play another one. This can wreck the gameplan quite a bit.
Sidewinder Sliver's flanking ability is very potent and can really turn the tides or even prevent your opponent from blocking.

Poison is a little different from infect, as it leaves ordinary damage as well, so unlike infect you don't start all over.

Thank you for the clarification. A classic case of "Read the fucking card" ;-)

Had one recently with lurrus, while testing out rat colony, had forgotten that lurrus only restricts permanents...

I'm not sure about mana bases in pauper, but would Distant Melody be worth it? I know Gemhide Sliver is good in edh, but not so sure about pauper.

I'm not a big fan of 3-coloured decks, neither in pauper nor in modern. But if I would have access to blue, I would at least give it a try instead of Lead the Stampede, because I think it would draw consistently more cards.

Fair. I'm greedy as heck in modern. 4 or 5 colours, all day long. Triomes helped tremendously.
