Basic Idea:I long had the Idea of bringing together some cards: Hardened Scale, Metallic Mimic and Tempered Steel. I finally had the time to throw together such a deck. Building it:The build was rather easy I allready had all of the important cards in my mind. I played around with some tribes (Thopters, Saprolings) but in the end I used Myr. So some token-producers where added in addition to some draw and protective spells. The sideboard features some cards I did take a look at but in the end they got removed. Price before adding any special lands: 61$Tests:At the moment this deck exists only on this site and has never been played against another deck. Regardless I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to further improve this deck.
The key-elements of this deck are Metallic Mimic and Hardened Scales, with Myr Battlesphere and Gavony Township as backup-plan. This combination converts a simple 1/1 Myr token into a 3/3. If you have a Tempered Steel on the battlefield this is further enhanced into a 5/5! If your opponent manages to remove the Mimic (which is very likely, Gavony Township can be used to add the +1/+1 counters onto your creatures. The backup-plan is Myr Battlesphere, simply produce enough tokens, attack with the sphere and tap enough tokens to kill your opponent.

NOTE: Set by owner when deck was made.
I feel like there may be a problem if you don't quickly draw both the scales and the mimic. Scales doesn't really get much use unless you have the mimic, and without the scales, mimic just makes you have a bunch of 2/2's instead if 1/1's, which still isn't that strong. If you have neither, you're helpless until you get them (for the most part). Perhaps add one or two creatures that buff Myrs outside of the mimic; maybe myr galvanizer? I may be wrong, I dunno.

Gavony Township can also do the trick, but I know what you're meaning as I had the same concerns. Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit could also be an option.
