[u]Basic Idea[/u]While looking through the upcoming Double Masters 2022 expansion cards I stumbled upon some interesting downgrades in rarity: [[Cartel Aristocrat]] and [[Carrier Thrall]]. Looking further I got the feeling that white and black got the most and best downgrades, still I wanted to do something with those cards. [u]Tests[/u]I have tested this deck against other pauper decks. The decks I tested against are a mixture of Control and Aggro and the result are recorded in a spreadsheet. If you're interested in details from the spreadsheet, feel free to ask. [u]Conclusions from the tests[/u]Against decks that use a more defensive strategy [[Cartel Aristocrat]] shines, as well as against removal. In Combination with [[Mortician Beetle]] you get a strong creature and one with colour protection so you can roll through your opponents defence. The problems come when you have to play against decks that are faster or simply don't care about small numbers of damage. Some builds I've seen on the internet use [[Carrion Feeder]] as second sacrifice source, and I'm looking for a way to squeeze him in. Maybe instead of [[Benevolent Bodyguard]], tough I don't like loosing the protection. I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to improve this deck.
[[Cartel Aristocrat]] can breech through your opponents defence if you feed her some creatures. [[Carrier Thrall]] or [[Persistent Specimen]] are her favourite food. [[Mortician Beetle]] benefits from all the sacrificing and can get really strong over time. Use a [[Benevolent Bodyguard]] to protect him from removal if necessary.
