Basic Idea:In the forum I stumbled upon Beautifulgrim's thread about revitalising Scute Mob in a deck. We had a short talk and put together some Ideas, and this is what I came up with. It lack's the lifegain he wishes but has everything else in the deck. Building it:So 4 Scute Mob where set from the beginning. To Make best use of him I added 24 basic lands which would be replaced with duals later on. Next came 4 Farhaven Elf and 4 Viridian Emissary for ramp in creature form and some early protection. 4 Rampant Growth as the only ramp-spell I added on the support side. 4 Paradox Haze would be very versatile for the Bug and for 4 Growing Ranks. To get some tokens on the field 2 Rite of Replication and 4 Cackling Counterpart where added. 4 to get some more defence and the ability to populate when the enchantment isn't drawn or destroyed. Last came 4 Vines of Vastwood, a good and protective card I really love. Tests:At the moment this deck exists only on this site and has never been played against another deck. Regardless I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to further improve this deck.
After you get 5 lands on the field make sure you have at least one Scute Mob out. Using Cackling Counterpart or Rite of Replication to make a copy allows you to us the populate ability of either Druid's Deliverance or Growing Ranks to copy those tokens. Paradox Haze makes things worse as it allows Growing Ranks to copy the token more often and Scute Mob to get +1/+1 counters more often.
