Basic IdeaI saw some decks that used infect and proliferate recently, and I simply wanted to see if it was possible to make such a deck in pauper. So here is my take on this strategy. Maybe-boardThe sideboard works as a maybe-board for the moment. TestsI have tested this deck against other pauper decks. The decks I tested against are a mixture of Control and Aggro and the result are recorded in a spreadsheet. If you're interested in details from the spreadsheet, feel free to ask. Conclusions from the testsI've not expected much from this deck and sure, it is rather slow to play. But it has enough elements to keep most opponents under control, but often only barely. [[Festercreep]] was a great surprise in this deck and was able to shut down life-gain and tokens easily. [[Disowned Ancestor]] also worked very well, tough you have to find a good moment to give him a +1/+1 counter and then start proliferating. I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to improve this deck.
2 mana and 1 card that gives your opponent a poison counter are a good starting hand. After your opponent has gotten a poison counter you can start to proliferate these counters up until 10, while you steadily remove his threads and built up your own defence. [[Festercreep]] works like a charm against those pesky 1/1 tokens and is also a good target for proliferate. [[Disowned Ancestor]] manages to shut down many aggressive creatures easily, and is also a good target for proliferate, either by giving him a +1/+1 counter with his own outlast ability of via graft from [[Vigean Graftmage]].

You must have overlooked the more successful designs with pentad prism which took the concept close enough to become a storm decktype. Also, auto spelling is a funny thing. The words and phrases you use the most have a tendency to pop into posts. For example I've recently had to write "I lose" a bunch of times and the auto speller kept suggesting "I love"I wonder why your auto speller suggested "hsa" instead of "has" ;)

I added 2 Pentad Prism instead of 2 basic lands. There where some occasions where I would have been able to cast another proliferate spell with just a little bit more mana, or proliferate and activate Festercreep, tough those situations where rather rare. I don't have an auto-correction, I'm writing things on a computer in a browser... which checks for spelling, but doesn't change it automatically. These are simple mistakes I didn't see at the time I was writing it. But yes, auto-correction can be a bitch. The word, or in this case the acronym, I'm having the most problem with would be "DSA" which is always converted into "DAS" (German spelling rules).
I remember having seen the dimir Guildmage being a common. If they've all been commonized the simic Guildmage might be of particular interest. There's also my favourite "go to" fate transfer.I think I've asked you the "phone question" before but with a french word at that time.I often write something, hit the public button and then speadread and correct the damn thing seconds later.I think stingmoogie might be nice with red proliferate. Before pawbo was spoiled we had a conversation about sneaking in some counters into my modern halfdecks. After that I spent some time looking at a bunch of cards with counters, so when pawbo got spoiled I had the whole thing in mind when the focus on proliferate got known. I realised that eventually people would figure out to proliferate the lands with counters, so I invested heavily in the set.
